Last weekend, I took my son to the driving range as he got some new clubs. He is only seven and was thrilled to bits as for the first time, he broke the 100 yard barrier with a lovely hybrid that he middled! He is only having lessons from me but it seems to be okay. His swing is shaping up nicely! We took some pics of each other hitting balls and here they are:

Apologies for the self indulgent post! :o :D

very very nice transition your son has.

just read that back and I sound like Yoda!

If you get him to straighten out his right foot at address, that wouldn't do him any harm. Just move his right heel out a touch so his foot is pointing forward. Perfick :)

Hope you won't allow him 2 shots on any hole.

No way.

He is going to beat me off level for most of the next 25 years so I will take him to the cleaners whilst I can. :D

I doubt it will be that long before he's off 18 or less once he joins a club and gets a handicap. I think my first handicap was when I was aged about 12 and it was 24. This reduced to 22 after 3 months then I got cut to 16 after a nett 58 in the monthly medal!

He is a chip off the old block in many ways and I think he will be sporty as he grows up. Loves winning and playing games of all kinds; squash, cricket, football, rugby etc.

I can't believe you were off 22 for 3 months and getting 2 shots on 4 holes.

And I can't quite believe you keep returning this thread to the same subject when it's about as funny as chronic piles.

My son thinks Daddy is gay because he wears pink shirts, he also thinks golf is gay because of this.

I'm very proud of him.

He'll save himself years of frustration, torture, my money and as a big plus he'll never beat me!!
