Just heard news that one of our good friends in our industry passed away last night. Only a week ago she was in hospital with lung complications. We don't know the full extent but so quickly she was taken from us.
I grew up competing against her and her partner (who is one of my best mates) when I was a kid and she went on to work for one of the biggest dress couture company's in the dance industry.
Absolutely stunned is not the word, didn't know how bad things were but woke up today to read the news. She was only 27.
So my note to you all would be put down your conflicts, roll up your sleeves and do what makes you and others around you happy. We aren't here for a long time at all!!!!!!!!
Tee it up and smack it as hard as you can!

That's awful news

A month back one of the girls from my wife's hockey team passed away at the age of 25 after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer - it was awful to see a life taken away so early

Then couple weeks ago an ex captains son passed away at the age of 28 in his sleep from a heart condition.

People dying in their 20's should happen - it's heartbreaking to see

Just awful, and so young, so sorry to read your post.

Very sorry to hear that, so young and unexpected .

This really hits home with me because my other half (Jane) has suffered with lung complications and breathing difficulties since June last year. Completely out of the blue and with no end in sight. More hospital tests at the end of this month to come. A healthy 40 year old one minute then suddenly very poorly from nowhere.

Good health is precious and you are right, life is short.

In the peer group of our kids' friends parents, 2 women aged less than 40 died about a year ago, both diagnosed with different types of cancer either during or very soon after their third pregnancies, and neither survived to see the child reach 6 months. Two Dads of similar age left with 3 kids aged 7 or under.

I've been around for so long that I am starting to feel like a Dinosaur! Always sad when people don't get at least their 3 score years and ten. :(

Thread reopened after a tidy up
It is always difficult when dealing with the death of someone close to you OR a family pet, emotions run high and it is easy to get upset

However, with all due respect to all our departed or desperately ill 4 legged friends and their owners, this thread is about losing a human life at a very young age.
think its best to keep it on that topic please

Thanks

The phrase lifes to short means dont waste time doing things that are unimportant.
Like arguing on a forum i guess... : )

Certainly learning to appreciate how people can be here one minute and gone the next. OK not a loss of a young life but my dad went to the doctors on 18th December having hardly had a day ill in his life, 6 weeks later he was gone. Never seen such a decline in such a short period. Not going to waste a day of my life going forward having seen him put off plans until his intended retirement in May
