hi guys, just to let u know how i got on at the disabled open, well i came 6th in cat3 with 61 points was leading after round 1 with 39 points but the nerves got to me a bit yesterday and come in with 22 points but what a experience and what a course at east sussex and lovely people

Well done mate.

In our weekly round on a saturday we always do a count up of scores and putts after nine holes( for a putting comp). Its very rare the leader after nine holes goes on to win :) The scores usually make the leader a little defensive and gives the others something to chase.

How did the second round go? good start and nervy finish?

Super first round and dont worry about the 2nd round. We've all cocked it up when we've been in with a shout and the mind starts to write the winners speech. Glad you enjoyed it , I bet it would be a very humbling experience to watch.

Ahh that's a shame. Bad luck. You aren't the first and won't be the last even amongst the golfing greats (Greg Norman!). There's always next year and good to hear that you had a great first round and enjoyed the event nontheless.

well done , hope you dont mind whats your disabilty ? reason i ask my dad plays golf two-three times a week with only one arm ( Left) and he always seems to put himself down when he fluffs a shot, i try to tell him he is doing great to , i have tried it and its bloody hard !! to hit one handed

My Granddad's like that! Just has to use his left arm, I wish I hit as many fairways as him :D

Having played both courses at East Sussex National, 61 points over two rounds is extremely steady play with 39 points being exceptional. Both courses are long, with plenty of trouble to catch anything wayward....well done.
