Just because a parent was good at something it doesn't mean the child is a world knowledge on the topic. From what I can see here she is eye candy and the players are being subtlety manipulated in a sexual manner to give interviews. Lets not hide this behind PC rhetoric this is sex being used, it happens everywhere and as usual it is acceptable that men are manipulated this way. Perish the thought that a man makes a comment about these things or manipulates women in this manner.
Frankly I don't care myself I just rather we be honest about this stuff and not try to make up complete falsehoods ... Why do women golfers wear tight tops and mini skirts ? Lets go the whole hog and have them do a pole dance on the flag when they make a birdie or eagle ? Oops that is too far

I'd rather listen to her than listen to Monty babble on,that is for sure

Thought it was quite funny last night when Livingston turned to Monty and questioned why Monty and Poulter couldn't bring their Ryder Cup games to majors - cue stuttering and babbling - not sure he was expecting that!

In the same way that just because a woman is good looking, it doesn't mean she knows nothing about the sport she is working on. I would suspect that she has more of an idea about golf than you give her credit for but I guess we will find out at 7pm tonight when the coverage starts.

I think you make good points. If she is there because of her golf knowledge and adeptness as a broadcaster then why hasn't the wardrobe department given her the same mumsy kit as dear wee Hazel to wear? Simple, she isn't there to do the same job and needs to make the most of her feminine charms to deliver the goods.

Not that I mind particularly, in fact I am pretty agnostic about her. I am sure she is a very nice girl and charming company.

Why do sky send her out to cover the Masters when as far as I can tell, she doesn't know a lot about the game.

Why not send Sarah Stirk who covers the European tour for sky all year?

because she's propa hot and looks good. why do they put holly willabooby on ITV breakfast!

Why would the wardrobe department dress 37yr old gallacher in the same clothes as 47yr old irvine? And I doubt either would want to dress in the others clothes. Clearly they are there for different purposes, but that doesn't mean gallacher knows nothing about golf

A Scottish dad - she's clearly been brought up properly to know it's not the done thing to be overly familiar with grown-ups (even if you know them well) I, though 50+, still address my mum's next door neighbour as Mrs Young - I just can't call her Beryl - but then I've known her since I was 8 so she is Mrs Young.

are sure its not mrs robinson:p

Definately not - though my 'Auntie' Audrey two doors the other way - now then...

Mum of my best pal. She used to 'take the sun' in their back garden all day while Uncle Ian (the Rover 2000 driving accountant hubby) was at work while me me and Richard played.

I think we are in agreement. I am sure she knows plenty about golf. Not as much as some though and like it or not, she is primarily there because she is as fit as a butchers dog.

I think that last point may have been proven now as she hasn't been seen in the coverage since Wednesday. Not last night and not yet on Masters breakfast.
