may have been the lad who hit it 296 on the light blue team!
cracking day. didn't even know about the long drive competition at the end until it was announced. can't wait to get my hand on the new driver and give it a rip!

Ok, so we all had tips and tuition during the day - anyone use the tips or planning to?

Well, the two big tips for me were chipping more with the heel of the club off the ground ...... I used it today, chipped fine and didn't duff a single chip!

The other tip all the pros gave and Joe Miller couldn't emphasise enough was, even in the wind to tee up high, have the ball level with the front shoulder and to hit up on the ball. Well I tried this off the first tee in my 4bbb match ....... And boomed it. I then did the same on all the driver holes and I really did get the results that these guys said would result - so glad I went!!

Saw the feeds throughout the day and insanely jealous that I couldn't get there. Will definitely look to rectify that next year. Some great pictures and write ups

It was a great day and I'd throughly recommend putting yourself forward for the next one, I know I will.

Really jealous sounds like it was another great day by GM and Callaway was away with work and so could not put name forward will hopefully sort that out by next year. Glad you all enjoyed it and it is nice to get the tips and also try the new kit oh I am just making myself more envious.

Best of luck for the people who won the drivers I had a great fitting experience at my local club who just happened to have a Callaway fitter their a week or two later so I arranged to go. I did not give him any indication and he put me in the same driver and shaft!!

Great to hear the stories I will be catching up shortly with the day.

Hit em straight .....ish

The key to long driving is having an upward angle of attack, weight should always be roughly 60/40 on the right side (if right handed).

I'll definitely be putting my name down for next year as I had a fantastic day, I even treated myself to an Odyssey milled face #7 putter as I was getting great feel and results on the day.

I think 60/40 was about where I adjusted to, one of the other bonus points was that I hit straighter with distance, as the upward motion into the ball seems to negate the odd tendency to slice
