I think this will be good for Talk Sport, I've been an avid listener since its inception. They made a big mistake getting rid of John Gaunt who I think is a great broadcaster. Not frightened to speak his mind and always got some great debate going. They've really struggled to replace him since he left, despite what a lot of people might say.
Listening to Parry and Graham really got on my nerves and in my opinion hasn't done Talksport any favours over the time they were together. Been thinking for a while that it let the rest of the programmes down, especially Parrys sometimes outrageous rants!

Will certainly be interesting to listen to what they have to offer next week.

I'm not really sure what they will add long term.

It's good publicity, however Talk Sport is just so 'samey '. I can't believe they are going to do current affairs so it will be another 3 hour football show. ( it would be amusing though if they did, and the first show was sexism in modern Britain)

The only programme worth listening to is Hawksby & Jacobs, the rest of the presenters are slightly retarded

Each to their own, I suppose. "Gaunty", IMHO, was an utter tosser who talked over all his callers and guests with a psuedo right-wing agenda which just played into the hands of the left wing. The reasons for his sacking were a bit pathetic but such is the state of this country and its political correctness.

Personally I rate Alan Brazil (great voice for radio), Porky Parry for just being on another planet and not being afraid to broadcast for said location. Hawksbee and Jacobs are also vg.

Does anyone remember when Talk Sport had the late Mike Dickin broadcasting? Now there was a radio legend: anyone who phoned up and started ofF with "Hi Mike, how are you?" was met with the standard reply of "My health is not in question". i.e. STFU

Yeah, I remember Mike Dickin well. He didn't suffer fools gladly and I especially liked his saying, " Woolly livered youghurt knitters". Classic!

Mike Dickin was a legend and sadly missed. John Gaunt was a lamb to the slaughter and it didn't surprise me when he got the boot. H&B are quality but Adrian Durham owes his career to Ian Wright. Without Wrighty's contribution a couple of years ago Durham would have been long gone. Is he all that.... eff off ya bell end.

Because I am in the car for up to 8 hours a day I enjoy debate rather than music so TS is always on.
