For 17 holes - aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggg
The 18th at Elmwood is a 420 yard par 4 playing directly into a stiff breeze, the 2nd shot is all carry, rather than flirting with the bunkers I decided to lay up with a 4 iron leaving a 40 yard pitch, fluffed the pitch into a greenside bunker, got out the bunker to 8 feet and 2 putted for my only 6 of the round, gutted.com.
Still very pleased with the days work, 5 bogeys, 2 birdies and 10 pars up until that point, the double on 18 left me with my best score this year of 75, the putts are starting to drop and the short game is improving, all good signs for (hopefully) a single figure handicap again.
