Keeping stats

So........if I bounced off 14 different tractors, trees, houses, sheds, golfers, caddies, trollies, stones, greenkeepers, bushes, roads, cars, clubhouses and signs I would have hit all 14 fairways in regulation.

Forget keeping the stats and get straight down the lottery shop.

You're right, stats don't say everything, but if you're going to do it you have to have rules. If I cream a drive and it bounces sideways off the sprinkler head in the middle of the fairway and goes into the rough, it's a missed fairway.

These things even themselves out.

My last game I was heading OOB untill I hit a tractor and rebounded onto the fairway.
If I was keeping stats that would be a fairway in regulation ...yes?
Nope. That would be a Fairway Hit (FW or FH) in my book (and a Tractor Hit if you were keeping that stat too). No need to specify 'Regulation' when regulation = 1.

Only query I have is if you are on the fairway of another hole, does that count as FH (no for me!).

I just created a simple spreadsheet. Basically the same as Scoresaver without any form of creative input. Record all the course stats plus GIR/fairways/putts. Throw in some sums and it'll give you all yhour percentages and averages. Saves the price of software!

I'll add another +1 for golf shot, I have the paid version too and it's nice and easy to update during a round. You then have all the stats you need on their website after.

It gives also gives you scrambling %, putt's per round, FIR/GIR, sand saves etc...
