I was going to end up all Titleist, Driver, fairways, hybrid, irons, wedges, putter (scotty by titleist), hat, balls, and bag. (notice the ball/bag adjacency). However, I am hoping to avoid the 'wannabe' look by playing two Dave Whitlam wedges. Not sure it works.
Didn't set out to be all Titleist, it has just evolved that way.

I used to then realised I looked like a complete fan dan. I was all taylormade from visor (sorry guys it was an impulse buy) to Adidas shoes. I do however think the bag should reflect the irons you use but my problem with that is I use Cleveland irons and there bags are guff.

I will mix and match- whatever works/ suits I put in the bag. I usually buy what I can get a bargain on, only my irons were full price so that doesn't give me much scope for choice. However this is changing and I intend on replacing all the gear I bought cheap when I begun playing as I am getting better now so it will be brand new top of the range all the way- and I can see it ending up as all ping because all their clubs I've tried I love.

I started out Callaway mad. I have the Driver, bag, shoes, tops, towel, had the Irons, ball marker, balls everythin.

Now I am going Mizuno irons I will be mixed and Matched. I seen a really nice Mizuno bag today but it wasn't as good as the Ogio one I am getting.

MVP........now I know I'm losing the will to live.I'm sure that I mentioned this the other day!
Why would anyone go out dressed as a clone of a manufacture?
Surely they make enough money on the main items ,without all the add ons?
Sure, I've got the ping windproof jacket, the ashworth waterproofs, the pro image waterproofs, the spare wilson bag and 6 pair of shoes,4 ping tops (and my favourites ..greg nornam polos 5 of)
Spoiled little git
But why be a clone of one name????

I like the top kit if I can get it but I am happy to use anything at all that helps me play comfortably to and below my h/c. If having 14 makes of club and as many for the accessories could take me down to scratch, then that is what I would have in the bag.

Have been playing with Callaway woods now for ages. Kinda fell into the Callaway irons recently when a good deal was offered which I couldn't refuse really.
Have subsequently fallen into the "trap" of buying new Callaway cart & carry bags to match along with a couple of Callaway "specialty wedges" but only because my irons came without a sand wedge. My putter is a pile of junk but is an old friend. I won't be rushing out to change it.
I have absolutely no desire to spend fortunes on "named" clothing ranges, apart from shoes where I think Footjoy are worth the little bit extra.
If I like the look of something then I don't care what name is on it, I will wear it.

Never really gave it a thought. I just get what I like and that’s it. I’ve got TM, Nike, Vokey and Yes bats. My bag is a Hippo….yes a hippo and I’ve still to find a cart bag as good. Got a new TM trolley bag in the shed and it’s not worth a second look. It doesn’t sit right, the clubs don’t sit right and you can’t get it out on the course before you buy it. My daughters think I’m using it FFS. Anyone want it.

In angling circles it is known as being a 'tackle tart'....having co-ordinated gear by one manufacturer. I persume some people anticipate gaining 'respect' for such a display. Personally I use what I can afford although I do have an erring towards Benross as it suits both my budget and current level of learning in the game.

My first decent set of irons are now in the bag, Wilson Staff Di7, and I play with the unusually shaped Hippo Hex Driver and fairways, which I am looking to get rid of at Christmas (largly because everytime I pull them out I feel like the whole range is laughing at their looks!).

After testing several in the right price range the top performers for me were actually the Wilson staff spine driver and fybrid fairways. I'm turning into a WS fanboy by default.

With clubs, I used to be all Callaway, but now I think I'll be switching to all Taylor Made....apart from mt Titleist Vokey.

It's never worried me about having all the same gear. I have a powakaddy freeway trolly, powakaddy trolly bag, Ogio winter carry bag, 3 pairs of footjoys, sunderland waterproof trousers, sunice typhoon top (best waterpoof top i've ever had btw) titliest mittens, all shirts are pro shop brought generaly in the sales..I have callaway, ping, ashworth plus all the tops I buy when playing other courses (souvernier). The trousers my misses gets from debernams (maine) but there always taylored never chino's.

So there ya go, a right mixture.......but I always look smart. You know the saying "All the gear, no idea" well that was based on me ;)

My collection of gear looks like it came from a golfers 'lucky dip'!
As long as it does what it's supposed to.

I really see nothing wrong with using all of a certain manufactures gear whether in the bag, the bag itself & even the clothes, just so long as thise items site your game & look good wearing them.

As for mixed & matched clubs & which bag to use. First use any bag you will. My main solution is to use a brand that doesn't produce clubs of any sort, otherwise I'd say, match it to either the irons, driver, putter or ball you use. Irons & ball would be the first choice.

Lets see, now when I first started the Irons were Nike & the woods were Hippo all were in a mishushiba stand bag or a SkyMax cart bag. The Mitsushiba clubs are naff, oh I did try their woods... vile things, but their bags are worth the while, especially on a budget.

I did try adding Hippo Irons, but for me was a bit of a mistake, or backwards move but I never bought Hippo everything else apart from the brolley.

I then On impulse bought some rather nice Lynx Irons & lynk bag, but really couldn't find any or their woods that fitted my game, though I do have a 380cc 9 degree driver that I couldn't hit then, but can hit now if I choose to put it in the bag for any reason. This is about where I discovered Yonex. As in my search for a decent driver for my game at the time Yonex came up with the solution for me in feel & performance, over time I even added their irons & excellent fairway woods, even a standbag & visors & brolley. At which point I became Yonex man, where everything apart from lobwege, putter ball & shoes were Yonex, even started following the trials & tribulations of Monty for my sins.

So in my case instead of buying gear because of a famous pro, like most people might. I followed a pro because what gear I already used. If I'd have gone down the traditional wanabee route I'd have ended up with all Taylormade as I'm a big Darren Clarke fan & I will admit to looking at TaylorMade gear & have bought a Quad driver which really didn't suite me & was counter productive to my game.

My Bag constitutes everything that suites me as best it can. Currently I could have gone everything Ping that they do as they do excellent equipment, just as the O.P. has inadvertantly gone everything Titleist (nearly) because what they produce is good accross the board. Add FJ, which is a Titleist brand to the equasion & between them are a leading ball, glove, clothing & shoe manufacturer & you'd be forgiven for using those items.

Same goes for Callaway.

Really nothing wrong with matching up hats gloves, balls & bag to something you use to say... "I Use X or Y" aslong as it makes you feel good to give them free advertising.

The good thing about using a selection of irons, woods putters, balls etc, is that it gives you the excuse to mix & match your clothing & bag too & match any of those with any of the other & not look a plonker yet feel good because you are wearing that visor to go along with your irons, or that top or trousers because you use their ball or their wedge & so on.
