Crocked Professional Yeti Impersonator
I recently sold a motorbike, so filled in the registration document with the new owner and sent it off. Went off the the Kent links meet and came back to find the refund cheque for the old vehicle tax (which is another pet hate of mine, but I'll save that for another time). Been out this morning getting a new rear tyre for the new one and came back to find another DVLA letter sitting on the mat. This one was an acknowledgement receipt stating that they have updated their records and that I'm no longer the keeper of said vehicle. Yes, I know you've done that already, because you've sent me a cheque for the unused vehicle tax; you wouldn't have done that if I still owned it would you, you muppets.
If it is so important to acknowledge the records change, why not just incorporate the acknowledgement onto the remittance advice not that accompanies the cheque? Two letters, two envelopes, two lots of postage, printed on the same day to tell me the same thing. Morons. Still, I suppose it keeps the Post Office shareholders happy………….
