John Daly at it again!

The tournament had enough publicity with Tiger playing in it but it has even more now.

Glad to see they have told Daly he won't be playing in their PGA in a couple of weeks but wait see, I'm guessing they will have a change of heart.

I heard it may have been more than 6 and he ran out of balls. Perhaps none of his playing partners had the same brand / type of ball and he had to quit !

Bad form really. He should have finished the round out of courtesy to his partners.

The Aussie PGA have already pulled the plug on him for the next tournament. The event didn't need Daly with Woods in the field and I agree totally that whilst he may be an enigma I'd rather have someone that played the game properly and respected the traditions than some maverick smashing ball after ball into the aqua and walking off. Can't have helped his partners any either. Totally agree with everything said about being unfair to the first reserve. I don't think there is anything remotely exciting about watching someone trying to smash it miles and failing. I can play with plenty of those myself every weekend

From ESPN article:

"In his past eight tournaments, Daly, 45, has now withdrawn three times and missed four cuts. In the last decade, he's withdrawn from more than two dozen tournaments on the PGA Tour."

And his playing partner Hunter Mahan: "Once I saw two go in, I think the effort went down pretty fast"

No respect for his own game - that's up to him, but to show disrespect to the tournament and the game as a whole is just pathetic.

Daly: either play properly and respect the golf fans and sponsors that pay you good money, or just Foxtrot Oscar into the sunset.

Used to pity him but now he's just sitting in someone else's seat.
