It all fell apart

Played in the regional qualifier for our companies national final yesterday. Had a good AM round finishing with a net +1, which included two triple bogies, and in a tie for the lead. Then, after soup and sandwiches, it all went pear shaped. In the PM round could I hit the ball in a straight line? NO! Even my putter was slicing!! I ended up with a net +10 for the 36 holes. Now, I appreciate that consistancy is not a given for an 18ish handicapper like myself, but this was just bizarre! The biggest dissapointment is that the qualifiers all got nice polo shirts...damn them!!

Was it to do with fatigue (or your refuelling at lunchtime) of just one of those horror rounds from nowhere.

Sounds like you had a brain meltdown mate, I will get my Sports Psychology books out Monday and PM you or start a post with some methods to avoid this. I just got back from work and my brain has shut down for the weekend.

I wasn't stuffed after lunch, kept hydrated and didn't feel fatigued...just depressed! I honestly can't explain it. Maybe I should have stuck to the 5 pints of Guinness at lunch instead of going for that 6th one...LOL!!

yeah, unlucky mate, but that 6th pint ontop top of the Red Wine always gets me after lunch!
