Is your course bouncing back?

Our greens have been good all summer although the fairways were very brown andcracked. The fairways are now very lush and green although there are a few bare patches

Our greens are fantastic. Tees are good and fairways OK, with a few patchy areas. The real damage has been on top of and around bunkers, more than a few are going to need turfing this winter.

Greens were still excellent today but the fairways are a mess where they've tried to slit them to try and reduce compaction and get some needed air into the roots. We have winter rules in place from today but still places where there is no grass on the fairway. Mind you having got a cut I can't complain and hopefully all the rain we had today and bucket loads we're getting tomorrow will help

Didn't go up to the club today as our club match was cancelled but drove past a local pay and play and the holes in view all had large masses of standing water from the torrential rain where clearly it couldn't get into the still hard ground. Hopefully though the rain and then some warmer weather this week may encourage some growth

Greens are great but fairways are shocking. No fairway watering so we were scorched to a cinder in the heatwave.

Really patchy cover with clumps everywhere and we’ve had Winter rules now for 3 weeks.

Hope this last two days of heavy rain will get some decent growth started but can’t see us back to anywhere approaching our normal verdant niceness for quite some time.

First visit to my re-newed 'Country Membership', Seaton Carew today. Greens great but fairways badly damaged by this Summer. Still great to be back on the links!!
