5 greenkeepers is nothing, not surprised your course is in poor condition. We have 10 another course near us has 14 I believe. There is way more to looking after a course than just cutting grass and raking bunkers.

My last place has three and is amazing at to moment so you are right it's not how many it's what they are doing

Course is in superb condition (usually is), fairways in particular are lovely lush green carpets.
Car park could do with some work however, it's sub standard for a top 100 course

and not even a bottle of claret to put in it.

Plenty of establishments within walking distance where one can be supplied though!
