We've all forgotten the Momentus Short Game Wizard

There used to be an advert on Sky for this which always made me chuckle.
The Short Game Wizard wedges will have you easily hitting phenomenal shots out of the bunker, the deep rough, off of a tight lie or from out in the fairway. Incredible shots you may never have hit before with the wedges you're currently using. You'll have the soft touch, feel and control you need to get the ball up and down from around the green. You'll face any shot from any lie with superior confidence.
I saw one of these t'other day in a range pro shop.
I looked at it long and hard, examined every last inch of it's momentus loveliness. I cuddled it, spoke gently in it's ear and asked it to reveal it's hidden secrets.
It's a wedge. It has NOT ONE feature that distinguishes itself from any other £9.99 cheap wedge. No special shape, no special design, it's dark (no racism here) and look and feels no different to all the regular wedges on the market.
Talk about BS.
Allows you to get the ball up and down easily from anywhere.
I played with someone last week who had a wedge called the "JCB Excavator" and it was very apt. He dug massive holes all round the green with it.
I just googled it to try find an image.

Until recently just used the pitching wedge of my John Letters F-7s and and my old Wilson Staff Tour Bladed Sand Iron. But as grooves of latter were non-existent, and our Pro said I should stop making life hard for myself using just a 48deg pitching wedge (opening it up when I need more loft) I bought a Vokey 52 and a Vokey 56.
Are they forgiving? Well they work - but I don't have distance sorted. Probably forgiving as I don't do anything horrid with them. But for the life of me I struggle to get any consistency at all - or actually get out of - our bunkers. We are rebuilding them all and our new ones have deep and soft sand. Our Pro tells me a lesson will sort it - well he would...I should be able to sort out getting out of sand myself - shouldn't need a lesson. So out of sand - no - my Vokey 56deg is not at all forgiving...
