I agree but if you've stood at a big event the chances of having room to adequately duck and protect your head is slim

Some do but really it's the responsibility of the Marshalls ...

I disagree. It is THE GOLFERS responsibility. The golfer is responsible for HIS ball and no one else. The marshalls can assist if they can but the buck stops with the tumshie that hit it.

Agreed, it certainly is NOT the marshall's responsibility
