iOS 7

The man is a genius, Thanks John

(another "obvious " feature ....NOT

Pretty obvious really. I've had iOS 7 since Beta 1 and this version is very slick in comparison to the first few beta's. The menus look a lot slicker, as do the new app screens which have been updated to include the battery/signal bar into their colour scheme.

Emails take a bit of getting used to, I was trying to mark mine as read and kept deleting them as I believe they've moved the buttons around.

The nav menu "Swipe up" is great and what the OS needed, very useful indeed! Including the built in torch function.

I like the way the background impae moves, not sure why I like it but its good. If you get a panoramic piccy it is even better!

The new game center is much better than the nasty old green thing.

A great feature I found was that if you put a time or date in a message/email or receive a time/date, even if it says next tuesday or tomorrow. It shows as a link which then links directly to the calendar!

All in all, i'm a totally smitten fanboy.

NOT SOLD by the 5S though and its fingerprint BS. May opt for a nice bright 5C, the case will give me piece of mind when I drop it as well.

Dont like the removal of the .com button on the keypad when in the browser or the @ button either,

The old Safari was much better giving seperate search or address boxes at the top of page then depending which you enter text in you get the relevant buttons on the keypad.

Hate the music player, cant stand the display options, even though there are now filters on the camera, none of them are much use, they are more of a brightness control than a filter. It would have been much better to have red, blue, and green filters then a sliding option to filter rgb as you choose, at least then you sould take decent landscape, sunsets etc.

Overall wish I could revert back to iOS6, but luckily I have a S4 through work so will use that and the iOS7 piece of junk will just join the rest of Apple 'toys' in a drawer. Apple really need to think what people like more, Slick does not mean oily, visually it means that you can easily use and is intuitive, neither of these words can be used to describe iOS7

I quite like it but there is some issues that need sorting, the main one is when you swipe up for the notification centre where you adjust the screen brightness it dims the screen so you end up turning the brightness up too far.

When you are browsing in safari and if you scroll around a web page too fast left to right it keeps jumping back or forward a page, also in the music player the volume bar is right below the skip forward button so if you slightly miss the forward button it cranks the volume up to full and deafens you if you have headphones in as I found out last night.

Hopefully there will be a update to fix the problems soon.

I think it is poor. Very poor in fact.

Unfinished, over-indulgent and generally a downgrade on what went before.

I have every iPhone that they have put out but after this, I think my next phone will be an Android device.

Dont try and change wallpaper on phone or ipad!!! there is a bug now allowing the resize of pics and its blowing any pic you want to use huge and it doesnt work. lots of apple forums moaning.

Changed mine over the weekend, no damage done... (so far)

haha, they sold nearly as many in 3 days than samsung sold s4's in a month...

Apple's gigantic sales figure also turns a spotlight on Samsung, whose launch of its Galaxy S4 in spring. The South Korean company said that it sold 10m of the new phones after 28 days - and 20m after two months - but soon afterwards financial analysts marked down its stock because they felt the sales were slow, and indicated that the top end of the smartphone business, which the S4 targets, was tapped out.

Just upgraded to iOS 7 this morning. As I am only new to iPhones (a matter of a couple of months) I have not become wedded in any way to the previous operating system - so will just get on with it.

it's always going to be difficult keeping 200+ million people happy

we used to be so involved with eye popping gradients, shadows and bevels, now everything is trending towards flat design, look at microsoft, twitter even facebook slimming down.

flat design is simply minimalist, and there is a fine edge between simplistic and childlike.

I like the new design, but then again I have never been afraid of change ...
