Read an interesting article on the great Harry Bradshaw, who lost the open because he decided to hit his ball from the remmants of a broken bottle before getting a ruling--i suppose in the 50's rules officials were not freely available.

He apparently had problems with a strong right hand grip leading to him hooking the ball. He practised with a three finger overlapping grip which reduced the influence of the right hand had on the club--I have tried it and it does work. With any tip or exercise it may not work for everyone.

I actually use this for my rescue cluib which I have a tendency to hook. I did find it helped but I do find it strange and almost uncomfortable.

Watch Jim Furyk next time he's on the telly, he overlaps two fingers to keep the left side of the course out of play.
