If you could....

How to get to Scratch!

Its the only way I would ever be able to read a book on golf, if I wrote it.
Thats my aim next season, 1 then .....well maybe not....

I think for me it would have to be something similar, a bit like the guy who wanted to get to scratch in a year (and the title has gone right out of my head). It would have to be something that related to my level of play etc. Don't have the humour for anything like "Bring me the head of Sergio Garcia" etc.

I would write about the mental side of the game because it interests me and because it dominates me.

Have you read "4 iron in my soul" very interesting relating a journalists experiences trying to find out what it's like to be a caddy. Worth a look for a different perspective.

A book with 18 chapters, each based on playing famous golf hole and what reflections on life each prompts as you play it.

I'd need a sizeable advance to pay for the green fees and if I did shot by shot, it would be quite a lengthy book.

I would like to look at how the game has changed in the last 100 Years and how it reflects (or does not reflect) society, of particular note I would like to concentrate on class distinction and golf etiquette. The whole book would have to use humerous and outrageous real life stories to flavour it.
Title, mmmmmm not sure, maybe...
Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden

I'd like to write a book that got you into the thought process of the professional players.

An impossible idea but it could take the form of a stroke play competition over 18 famous holes from around the world, featuring a dozen top professionals.

Get them to actually play each hole and give their thought process from the tee to the green; how they approach each hole, how they respond to the good shots and the bad, the good breaks and the bad, their course management, if their approach changes as the competition draws to the end and they’re in contention, etc. etc.

I think it would be a fascinating read, and to be able to go round with them to write the book would be a nice bonus too!

I like the idea of the all in golf tour. Like the guy in Ireland who bought a motorhome and travelled round playing every course.

Now I would write a big gay romantic romp of a book with plenty of stiff shafts and cocks and balls a plenty.

I dont think my book would have too many pages tbh, Id call it "how to remain collected when lining up that fourth putt" or "putters don't float!"

Mrwoo, is there any chance you could post a something worth reading, most of your posts so far have really not enlightened anyone. Go on, something that connects you to the rest of us, I dares ya.
