It wasn't although that long ago that Mrs Hawkeye suggested I buy some new clubs and booked me in for a fitting session at Titleist and I'm now the proud owner of a nice ne bag of Titleist sticks.

As if that wasn't enough, yesterday she suggested that for my 40th in 3 years, I might like to go to California for a holiday and while we're there, that I might fancy playing at Pebble Beach.

I'm pretty sure I didn't dream it.

Thats fantastic, but at some point it will cross your mind to start worrying about what special treat she has planned for herself. The golfing gods giveth, but then taketh away.... Be prepared...

That's a great set of clubs you've got now, very envious. Thinking of doing the 2hr full game Titleist fitting myself. Did you think it was worth it?

You get the woman you deserve!

So for all of you guys making the tea, doing the dishes, cleaning the house and taking stick for playing to much golf, you must have done some pretty sick things in a former life

And the winner of the most predictable response of yhe year award is... :D

Besides, I'm gonna need a golf partner at Pebble aren't I :whoo:

There is nothing worse then being called predictable, I wish I had not commented now :o. It comes with getting old I think....

That will be a wonderful trip though!!

Well, Mrs Mog is taking me to Penha Longa next week. I suggested just playing the 3 rounds of golf, and then spending a couple of days doing a bit of sight seeing, but no, she wants to lounge about on site, and is quite happy for me to play every day. Works for me.

Just had a look at their website... that'll be $495 for the round. :mmm:

If you do play it Hawkeye, we're expecting the mother of all reviews!

EDIT: if you stay at their hotel, you get a free cart though. Cheapest room = $715 ;)

Bit weird as my Mrs said we would do the same for my 40th. Shame it's 8 years away! Probably just enough time for me to save and play Cypress Point, Spyglass Hill and Monterrey while I'm there :)

Went down to the course the last time I was on holiday in California, amazing stretch of coastline that way.
