I played today and..(Rolling) -originally created by JohnnyDee

With a couple of weeks left of recovery from my recent heart repair I managed to walk 18 holes today. I did also manage to hit 4 balls during the round with my mates Cobra irons, 2 par 3's I hit both greens, a chip on to a par 5 - perfect, and a driver - crap!

But at least I didn't have a heart attack in the process 👌

Did the dogs take your ball? Not a penalty if they did.

No such luck, the mutt was about 30yards behind barking at me and made it tough to concentrate on the 4I & I sliced it into jungle, only just kept the reload in play but turned a bogey into a triple 😒

Out yesterday afternoon with a mate and his son.
The lad bombs it a mile but not always in the right direction...his dad has a side strain so just bought his putter a d a ball..
The wind was strongish on the front 9 but, boy, did it pick up on the back...constant 20mph with gusts approaching 35..
Stuck the ball well, made lots of pars and a couple of birdies but blobbed 2 holes badly....
Still walked off with 38 points to be 1 under handicap.
Supposed to be playing today but the wind is howling even stronger so we've bottled it...:ROFLMAO:

Worse day ever. Developed the shanks on the ninth and shanked the whole back nine for a massive 8 points including 3 for a flukey birdie. No idea where they came from as I had 16 going out. Assuming the swing change I've been working on has triggered an old thought. Down the range tonight to check the basics including posture and getting the weight onto my toes and so moving forward is an old problem

Played, seems I’m was at the course 5 holes before my swing got there. +8 through 5 and parred into the turn. Had another wobble on the back to finish +4 nett in the medal.

Not overly fussed as it’s winter golf but like my school report, must try harder.

Played South Moor in a howling gale yesterday and kept on going due to playing well. When my bag got blown over on the 9th I chickened out of playing the Mount Everest-like 12th and nipped across to the 13th. Continued to play ridiculously well, posting 65 from a 'par' 59 (15 holes). I would either be celebrating another sub-80 round or been blown several miles into the North Sea had I opted to play the full 18.

We played a Texas scramble on Saturday over 12 holes. Would have just needed the 3 eagles and 9 birdies to win. It was 3 drives each aswell.

Played our mid week comp, over 60 players, I started with a double on the first......turned 3 over but fell apart on the back nine to shoot 7 over off a 3 handicap, it was 36C today, playing at my other course tomorrow and the forecast is 38C, then on Saturday it's going to be 40C.....

18 holes this afternoon. Solid 74 (at least 41pts), 1 birdie, 1 double bogey 🙄 , a few missed chances .. driver had the ball on a string up until 18 where I just was off the fairway and in the claggy stuff but it was nearly dark, my scoring started to go off the boil as the 3 ball in front held me up. Definitely feel my body stiffening up when I have to wait.

The course was white over when we started. Temp greens were on as a result, and made chipping and putting a total lottery. Was on 20 points after 13 (thanks to god knows how many 3 putts) when the snow started. It very quickly turned into an all out blizzard, so we walked off. Enjoyed it despite all that, good company and some decent shots.

More snow forecast later today and heavy rain tomorrow, so pretty doubtful we will be open on Saturday.

Went to the club with the intention of playing this morning as there was only light rain. By the time I arrived it was hosing it down. Again.

Our back nine, which miraculously remained open throughout the January deluge, is now shut. It seems yesterday’s downpour has tipped the balance, and we are now likely to be nine holes only this weekend, if we’re open at all.

Coffee and a full English was the order of the day.

We're open, carry only, but it will be so wet underfoot, the wind is blowing and there's more rain on the way that I'm watching the golf instead.
