Well this time last week I was playing off 14 which felt fair. Today I was off 12 which does not feel fair.
No, my course is now rated even more incorrectly.Your HI is still the same I’m guessing it’s now just your course is rated correctly

I remember the good old days when you only had one handicap.Well this time last week I was playing off 14 which felt fair. Today I was off 12 which does not feel fair.
Yeah you sound like the people who do the ratings. Length is all that matters obviously.Grimms Dyke is a par 68 of 5200 yards with multiple par 4’s under 300 yards
A SR of 65 seems about right

I never looked at or cared what SSS was, I had absolutely no idea what it was for. I don't believe it affected me in any way. I also think I joined my current club after WHS came in anyway, so no experience of it before. If you think the rating system at your club is a joke how does it compare to the SSS pre WHS?
Ours barely changed 0.8 difference for whites, 0.4 yellows, 1.2 reds (all increases).
Given the time between the two being done not surprised to see some difference given the changes in the course in that time.

SSS (Standard Scratch Score) was what your handicap was based upon not par.*I never looked at or cared what SSS was, I had absolutely no idea what it was for. I don't believe it affected me in any way. I also think I joined my current club after WHS came in anyway, so no experience of it before.
