And guess what, we played a team comp, best 2 from three. All to score on par fives and we dragged nowt the flipping golfing gods some days just mock you.

Played very nicely for 38 points, made a few putts for birdies and the only bad things were a shank from just off the green, and then 3 putts on the last, Driver 4 Iron to just off the green, missed the birdie down hill and a poor putt coming back.

Seriously, my game has been rammel, my official hcap is 20.4.it has gone up from 18.1. Mt ruddle hcap Is 24. I have been donating £5 every week for the last lord knows how long. There has been slow green shoots of recovery. Yesterday 90% of my game came together and for a few bobbles it would have been better. Three weeks ago a PP had a lesson and shot 44 they were raving about his score. Me I have kinda sorted out me driving and a Couple of players were moaning like the clappers.
Ave told a few players that I am playing off the yellow pots next year when it is Q comps. Whites just kill my game.
Personally I wish the bobble putts would have dropped. Coz the score would of really rattles a few more

Hit the ball well but the course and the weather were the winners, except I did go out point 1......

So today 11 of us braved the elements and to be quite Frank. It wasn’t that bad. We played singles and once more Tashyboy was the man. Tuesday I shot 44 points and won diddly squat coz it was a team comp. Today a Mahoosive 45 points. 22 front and 23 back. And once more I left a few shots out there. 17 under for the last two rounds. Am buzzing. The funny thing is, before we went out they said no one is getting cut today coz there is only 11 of us.
What did my head in a bit. I have never played a round without a double bogey. I shot a 6 for 2 on the 16th yeah it’s a 2 pointer but to me it’s a double bogey on a par 4.
So where has the form come from all of a sudden. My driving is good, in fact it is very good. Straight arm, coil and bang. The power, distance and control. Happy days for Tash. Shooting a 87 is Hcap of 15 that will do me

Senior's Stableford today, nothing like the winds up north but blowy enough.

On our 140 yard par 3 sixth, straight into the wind, I hit a lovely low 4 iron to the right side of the green, flag on the left, and then rolled in a long putt.

Thought to myself that there wouldn't be many twos today so should be good value, but there were 7 of the blighters, more than on a normal day.

Played our Monthly Medal today and flushed it, lip out on the last to shoot my age 71, so level par 72 for nett 67.

Winner off 40 handicap nett 61.......am gutted if only I had holed that putt.

Lost on count back for second to an 18 handicap, but third so am over the f.......moon, well done Oz HS.

Also it was bloody hot, humidity was 85%, drank heaps of water and did not need a pee.
