Just got back in from playing and joining my new club (Leatherhead) I played a round with two members, they were great and I really enjoyed it just a shame about the crap weather.


So if anyone fancies a game just give me a PM, I will also arrange a society day when the weather improves.

We could do a little sort of competition between us at each others track, playing stable-fold winner takes all end of season?

What was the club like (its years since I played it). Was it a nice relaxing atmosphere in the bar afterwards. What were the guys like you played with?

A good choice HTL. Played it several times over the years, last time about 3 years ago. As usual, I'm up for a game once weather improves a bit.

All on greens mate, no sign or news of using temps, so thats good news.

Clubhouse is good, was busy and seems real friendly blokes I played with were great got me a pint after and chatted for a while.

Yep im all paid up for the year, living off baked beans and water for the rest of the month but its worth it.

Will give it a few weeks until this frost is gone and will call / pm you.

Glad you enjoyed it. As a new member of a club, June 08, its really up to you to make the most of it. My advise is to play with as many other members as you can and dont get dragged into their moaning as there will be some. Most importantly enjoy your golf.

Get those handicap cards in asap. My advice would be to enter the competitions if they are drawn to get to meet as many members as possible and get them to put mark the cards for you.

I'd try and get onto the practice ground, putting green, clubhouse and in the pros shop and generally get people to recognise the face if not the name.
