I bought today.....

I have had a Titleist Carry bag for a few years now and can't recommend it highly enough.

And, on topic: got four new grips, including one superlight Winn grip. Why superlight you say? Well, my Honma driver is quite lightweight which means I am missing a bit of feel. Getting a lightweight grip should improve the balance to where I can feel the clubhead a bit more during the swing.

Oh, and I grabbed a box or two of 2025 AD333's for Eur 18 per box. Which is great considering they usually cost Eur 28 per box.

Had some spare GC4C vouchers, and as I don't need any new clubs or shafts, I wanted to go up a size to a 2.0 pistol from a 1.0 tour. So, I bought a limited edition halloween glow in the dark Super Stroke Pistol 2.0 grip, and it's amazing. And, as it has a weight port, I also bought a 50g weight, had the same setup in a Rossie white hot og putter, and it was fantastic

set of Benross Pearl irons and a TM Burner Driver - both ladies flex - for the kids who are in the awkward size between junior and mens. Came to about £150 but got £121 trade in a 5 wood and a Driver.
Hoping I can get the kids out lot more this year, especially as some of thier friends have started playing a bit.

I see a lot of people at our club with the JL or G Fore Vessel bags. They look fantastic.

They are absolutely superb to be fair.

Heavy, yes, but I have an 'Air' if I intend to carry, but elec trolley 100% of the time for me, unless a corporate day with buggies laid on.

But what do I know. I thought my Ping Hoofer, fab reviews by anyone who's ever had one, was a bit meh.

I'm a Vessel bag nut and they've just released their new 'sky' colourway, so added to the collection with the Player V Pro.

Also added the club organiser and will see what difference it makes.

Nice that.
I moved away from the sort of main brand, titleist/ping etc. bags for the first time last year and got a Jones.
Love it, quite similar to that one there.

Just had a look at the price of the bags etc. Really.. £400. There was even a head cover for £150. That's what I normally pay for a 2nd hand 2 or 3yr old driver.

I had a Ping Hoofer and I too thought it was quite meh.. the only upside: sold it for what I paid for it.

I'm more excited about the club organiser than the bag 😁

I debated between the Player V and the Player V Pro, but went for the non pro. The organiser will only fit the pro, so add the colour and went for it.

Organiser is a bit corny, but my trolley doesn't like Vessel bags - they're an inch or two too short. The pro is that mich taller and wider, so hoping it'll balance well. The organiser extends the height too.

DPD will bring it tomorrow and I can't wait.

Probably one my favourite bags i've owned, and i carry 99% of the time, was a Nike Air Hybrid 14 way bag, loads of big pockets, 14 way dividers, great for trollies and buggies but when carrying bag chatter was annoying and was heavy, after that bag i went through a bunch.. stayed with a players 4+ for a while, great for the summer, but pockets not big enough to put in wet/cold gear in the winter.

Then I bought a 2019 Ping Hoofer, in the G400 colours, and really enjoyed it, then moved on and upgraded to a 2021 Hoofer, and now I'm on my 3rd hoofer, only upgrading to a different colour when I got bored, from blue and white to black and red.
Club Tangle is always associated with hoofers, but I find it tolerable, and I use mid-size Lamkin crosslines on my irons

Impressed with the value for money of first couple of shirts from Druids I’ve just bought another handful, fingers crossed they’re just as good

I bought 3 from them last year and was similarly impressed but not to the extent of buying more, it was nothing to do with the quality it was down to not needing anymore golf polo's.

Yeah I know what you mean. Problem I have is that the sun bleaches/fades the colours & patterns on most brand, so while a shirt can still be in good wearable condition, the bleached look means it looks pretty bad if the colours on back/shoulders is totally different to the sides etc, so i don't get a long life out of a lot of tops

Divider numbers is an interesting debate - is it a debate or even just a preference?

I have one 14 way divider and not sure I like it, and my others are 4, 5, 6 and 7. Definitely prefer a bag you can separate both putter and driver, so 6 is probably my preference.

I would never go back to a 14-way. I used to think I wanted that, but after using one for a while I found it a faff - trying to find the correct hole for each club and keep them all in order all the time. When carrying they all clatter into each other as well since they're positioned one inch apart.

Nowadays I use a 5-way and that's ideal for me. The bigger space across the top has all my headcover clubs - driver, 3W, 7W, hybrid - then it's 6, 7, 8 in one hole; 9, PW, AW in one; 50, 54 & 60 in the next, and putter has it's own space so you can get it out easily with the bigger grip. Easy to chuck the club back into the right gap. Perfect.

Hate to admit it on a public forum, but I’ve had to start using iron head covers as a result of the 14 way divider. I don’t know if it’s just a winter thing, but the course is really bumpy at the moment and I’m finding that the irons aren’t just having that nice clatter, they’re whacking against each other as I go over the uneven ground. I’m more concerned about the volume rather than club damage, I wouldn’t want someone on an adjacent hole to be put off by the noise! So head covers it is for the time being.

I use an electric trolley and every cart bag I looked at (with the locking system on the bottom) had 14 way dividers. If I could I’d go to 5/6 to reduce the clatter.

How does clubs in the same slot reduce clatter? I'd have thought it would mean more?

I have 14 dividers but only carry about 10 clubs, sometimes 11. No clatter but then maybe that's because I can spread them out 🤷‍♀️
