I bought today.....

If there are fewer slots, the irons aren’t pretty much on top of each other and can’t swing and move about too much. More of a rub than a whack. With 14 dividers there’s space between them and they just move and swing and turn with every undulation on the course. That’s what I’m finding anyway.

I wouldn’t mind one of those bags that somehow grips the shaft and stops them turning.

I would never go back to a 14-way. I used to think I wanted that, but after using one for a while I found it a faff - trying to find the correct hole for each club and keep them all in order all the time. When carrying they all clatter into each other as well since they're positioned one inch apart.
Maybe I'm missing something but, once you have your clubs in your 14 slots and you take one out to play a shot....you simply put it back in the unoccupied slot from whence it came.....if that's a faff then the world truly is about to end....

I thought the same until I actually used one. Obviously the holes are much smaller so they don't always go in smoothly, you end up trying to force it in sometimes. With the bigger gaps you can just chuck the club in easily and away you go.

Yeah I know what you mean. Problem I have is that the sun bleaches/fades the colours & patterns on most brand, so while a shirt can still be in good wearable condition, the bleached look means it looks pretty bad if the colours on back/shoulders is totally different to the sides etc, so i don't get a long life out of a lot of tops

Nice problem to have. :)

Just looking at buying some new golf trousers, Affordable Golf have some Puma ones for £29.99 that look cracking value, even better they have a multi buy offer of 2 pairs for £60 🤣
I know it seems funny but if that's all you are buying you get free delivery on orders over 50 quid so you're still saving a couple of pounds.

County-Golf flogging a ProQuip waterproof jacket for £26 (after discount code) so I've snapped one up. Main reason is that it's black whereas my other waterproof jackets are blue, yet my waterproof trousers are black so didn't match. threw in a Castore t-shirt that was 9 quid as well, because why not.

Nowadays I use a 5-way and that's ideal for me. The bigger space across the top has all my headcover clubs - driver, 3W, 7W, hybrid - then it's 6, 7, 8 in one hole; 9, PW, AW in one; 50, 54 & 60 in the next, and putter has it's own space so you can get it out easily with the bigger grip. Easy to chuck the club back into the right gap. Perfect.
I'm the exact same, got a Titleist 14 way trolley bag last year and used it for two weeks before selling it on. Was thinking the larger pockets and space would be handy. Couldn't stick the noise of the clubs banging, didn't realise a 14 way would actually create more noise.
Went back to using an old sun mountain stand bag on the electric trolley. Only issue is it twists a bit, mainly due to the stand mechanism at the bottom sticks out so can't sit it on perfectly at bottom.
On the lookout at moment for a stand bag for year ahead but want to find one that sits well on a trolley so something with an internal stand system at base.
Unfortunately no company seems to do a 5 way divided trolley bag that isn't a tour bag

What a terrible probem to have 😆

Maybe you need to build a collection of plain white tops.

Although they look nice, they also look really heavy.

What is really heavy?

Two of the 5 I have are not essentially carry bags, so you'll have to ask my trolley motor, but it doesn't seem to mind.

They can be carried, but if you're 7 stone wet, you probably struggle to lift your driver out of the bag.

I was idly looking at some earlier and the TaylorMade Flextech looked good. Haven't seen one up close though. It's a 5-way stand bag but supposedly sits well on a trolley.

I have a SM H2NO Elite trolley bag. Lots of pockets including a rear pocket for clothing that has an access zip each side (great for waterproofs)
It is silent on the trolley and even more silent when the irons have their neoprene covers on :)

Divider numbers is an interesting debate - is it a debate or even just a preference?

I have one 14 way divider and not sure I like it, and my others are 4, 5, 6 and 7. Definitely prefer a bag you can separate both putter and driver, so 6 is probably my preference.
Nowadays I use a 5-way and that's ideal for me. Personally, I think a 5-way divider is the sweet spot; the larger space on the hoofer is at the bottom. so like Orikoru, I have my headcover clubs; driver, 3 wood / 18 and 22 hybrid and putter in the first 2 slots, then 5-6-7 / 8-9-Pw big space is 50-54 wedges, but i think I'm going to drop my 5 iron for a 58 - so 22 hybrid replaces the 5iron in slot 3 and the 58 goes with the other 2 wedges at the bottom. But anyway, by the 4th hole, my clubs are all over the place. :ROFLMAO: As for the hoofer, I really like the pass-through strap, the big drinks pocket and the magnetic tee pocket

I hate the 14 way divider in my trolly bag, one of the reasons I bought a new carry bag.
