I bought today.....

I just shove any old club in any old slot and don't worry about it. Yes, I'm that much of a barbarian.

I'll argue to my dying breath that the extra time spent finding a club (1 second? I mean there are only 14!) is less than the time spent keeping everything organised though :D

What is really heavy?

Two of the 5 I have are not essentially carry bags, so you'll have to ask my trolley motor, but it doesn't seem to mind.

They can be carried, but if you're 7 stone wet, you probably struggle to lift your driver out of the bag.

What's the point of a "carry bag" with dual straps and pop out legs, if you always use a trolley?

The point?

They are carry bags and sold with that description and I want the option to carry. I simply don't most of the time, but do occasionally.

Straps are removable in a jiffy. Legs are useful on uneven ground when setting up the trolley.

I prefer their carry bags to their cart bags.

Next useless question welcome...

My reason is I try to get a bit of practice a couple of times a week.
So if I'm at chipping green, etc a trolley bag has to be laid on ground and if weather is bad that's an issue. Same with using the range, stand bag is more suitable.
But when playing actual rounds I never carry, always electric trolley.
So a carry bag works out best really overall without having two bags and swapping clubs between them.

Agreed - my bag is a 'hybrid' bag but has more of the characteristics you'd associate with a carry/stand bag. I can't really see the point of a trolley bag, small advantage of one additional large pocket down one side, but many more drawbacks such as a poor strap, won't stand up, heavier, having to change bags when you do want to carry, etc etc. No point, I'd rather just have the one bag for all purposes.

All my bags together and apart from one in my club locker 😁 that's it.

I am going to flog the white Air and navy Lux, as I have all I need with the two Player V's. The green is just too blomming gorgeous to ever let go and remains my first choice if carrying.

Just bought a Srixon ZXi driver with a Hazardous Black shaft.

Went for the fitting expecting not to find anything better than my current 0811 XF PXG, also was specifically looking at Srixon, Cobra and Wilson due to potential cost.

Within the first 5 swings with the PXG it became apparent that I was hitting every shot high off the face, so high that it was a miracle that I was actually hitting reason golf shots. This stands true with what I've seen on the course though too, not every time, but I've definitely been hitting more sky shots. I've noticed too that with the PRGR my smash factor was really down, and now I know why.

Anyway, we tested multiple combinations of heads and shafts, but it became apparent quite quickly that the ZXi was the best fit for me. Smash factor was up around 1.46/7, ball speed was up massively compared to the PXG and was getting it out to 220 carry, 250 total.

Looking forward to putting it in play.

Should have saved yourself some money by buying lower tees instead??

Makes perfect sense gents. What if you have 5 bags and are constantly swapping clubs between them?

You again 🥱 presumably referring to me, as I am the one you continue to berate because I have 5 bags. I have 7 if we include the ones in my club locker.

'Constantly', like your term 'heavy' is misplaced.

Summer - Winter - so that's one swap a year.

Carry occasionally, so another half dozen swaps if it takes my fancy.

Either tell us why you have an issue, or sling me on ignore, but don't dig me out through the back door (ooer missus) and run away as is your usual tactic, as it tiresome, unfunny and lacking of any respect for others.

I thought you implied that you were constantly swapping between your bags, which seems a faff. Looks like I got that wrong. Although if you're only swapping once a year why have 7 bags? :ROFLMAO:

I don't care if you have a hundred bags, it's your money and you can choose to do what you want with it. But if you're going to post about all your expensive gear, you should expect a bit of gentle ribbing.

You've got this all wrong, too many bags serving the same purpose! I've got a trolley bag, posh carry bag (club centenary logo), everyday carry bag and a summer evening pencil bag. It's all about having the right bag for the right occasion. Does your pro not give lessons on correct bag selection?

I love a bit of banter, but it has to be decent level and not constant to the same person - ignore is your friend here.

Another p1ss taker. My money, my bags, my choices I suppose

Maybe check to see if your pro does sense of humour lessons as well :ROFLMAO:

It could be you're just not funny, aligned with another dig because I support my pro.

Just bored with getting grief for posting about stuff I've bought on a thread about buying stuff.

Can't be ar#ed anymore. There's much more fun reading about member x who's bought a pair of socks, because the pair from 2021 have developed a hole and his wife has left him, so darning is trusty, crusty crap is no longer available.

I don't see a "too many bags" problem here, rather a "not enough clubs" issue.

I have an embarrassing number of bags and they're all stuffed to the gunwales with clubs.

To add to the embarrassment, there are still a "significant number" of clubs not in bags.

Give me time 😁

There are 3 full sets of irons (one set boxed) and 4 spare putters, but I do tend to flog as I buy.

There was no dig at all. If you’d read my post properly you would see I have just one bag less than you so clearly you didn’t get the joke. Or I’m just not funny as you say, you’re choice.

About 20 golf bags, I think. Don't like to do an exact count. Might be more than 20.

By far the majority were not bought specifically, they merely contained clubs that I wanted to buy. And I've sold a few bags in recent years.
Many of my larger bags contain two full sets of clubs.
Can't really sell any more bags unless I either sell a few sets of clubs or find another way of storing the sets of clubs.
