What was the issue with the backplate? Was it just the look or something deeper?

So, allow me to summarise:
- You bought the black irons because they looked nice, even though you knew they weren't optimal for you.
- After a couple of months you realised that it's better to have the best clubs for you, rather than the the best looking clubs. So that's why you've got a new set. Fair enough.


A couple of years ago, my mate got a custom paint job on his SIM fairways and hybrid so they matched his Stealth driver and black TM irons. He is another guy who likes everything to match. Don't know if you can get irons black plated afterwards.

Summary is a bit condescending, but I was fully aware what I was doing.

- I can play OPTIMALLY with a T200/250 6 and 7 is 50/50
- I can add a 5 iron with T200/250
- I can play with just T150
- I's my money and my experiment
- I won't flog the black vaopr T150's

Should be noted, the new 150's have had changes and will also assist to reach optimal numbers and there's an argument I could run just those as a set, but that wouldn't include a 5 iron.

Sorry didn't mean to be condescending. I am a firm believer that people can do what they want with their own hard earned money.

Am picking up an original, good condition Callaway Big Bertha Warbird Divine Nine this week. For Eur 20. I need a club to fit in the 160-170 yard hole in my bag. I sold my Cleveland hybrid as it was hooking often (too much offset for such an upright lie) and am not really loving the Callaway 2008 iBrids that I got as a replacement. Over the winter I am looking for some bargain brand new driver and a gap wedge.

The first of my new wedges arrived - a Kyoei prototype 56 Deg. First hits suggest I'm going to have a love affair with it beyond it's looks!! Could spell the end for my Bridgestone j40s.

Bought the pack of Costco 3 wedges for £143 yesterday. Well reviewed and I needed a 60 degree anyway. Sharp new grooves can’t hurt! These keep going out of stock. Very popular I believe.

I’ve got all 3, I absolutely love them. Good weight , good design and great build quality. I’ve had alsorts of Cleveland’s and Vokeys but I love the Kirkland gear 👍
