I bought today.....

Interest table that, bookmarked, thanks for posting.

What does spin axis mean and how does it affect flight?

I currently play the prov1x, looking at the titleist tour speed there’s not much difference in distance and spin. Not at my level anyway.
Not sure to be honest, I'd guess it's sidespin and affects how much it will fade/draw? There doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between any of them on that though, as you'd expect from a robot swing I guess.

I'm not certain but I think they're planning to bring out the new updated test this year at some point.

They're in Arizona doing the testing right now....

Will be interesting to see if there are any changes since the last test. I would expect the left dash to be the same since it hasn't changed since it was released in 2019 or so but all the other premium balls have had new versions since the last test.

These look excellent! Never heard of them before. Will definitely check them out. Seem worryingly reasonably priced!
They get very good reviews online, and are only available direct from them or othe online retailers, at least in the South East.
I think they're about to launch new models, hence the sales.

I have two pairs of the 001's bought them last year not really worn them much but so far very pleased with my purchase, I did a quick search before I pressed the button and I only found good things said about Payntr shoes.

Well....not bought....but I've got it down to two iron choices. Mizuno 925 HL or Cobra Adept Max. I can get the Cobras in 7 irons for the price of about 4 Mizunos...... Any opinions?

I'd always go Mizuno, but that's just me.
Can't help feeling build quality and R&D is better, but I've nothing against Cobra.
Apart from their wedges, which were far too spinny for me... 11,500rpm!

I've been looking at everything. The best reviews on both I've seen are by Askgolfnut on YouTube. Even sent him a couple of messages he responded to. At this point I've fallen DEEP into "analysis paralysis".....
I'm not going to drive a long ways to test clubs, so I'm likely to just make a best guess pretty soon. I've also very much jumped into the bandwagon of NOT buying the expensive brands anymore. No more Titleist, Ping, Taylormade, Callaway.....£200+ for one iron is nuts. Mizuno HL from £140-150 a club. Cobra around £125 or so for graphite shafts. My bag is a mishmash with me constantly experimenting (which I like to do). Cobra driver, Ping 5/7/9 woods, Callaway 11 wood, Eleven brand 8/9/pw hybrid irons and then another 4 wedges.

Mizuno HL
-A number of sites that test the HL aren't happy that they don't "go as far" as other game improvement irons. They of course are not supposed to go as far, they are supposed to go higher and stop faster. But then again, most of the year you really don't have to worry about balls running off the greens since they are usually pretty soft anyway.....except for NOW of course.
-More expensive
-Probably better looking
-Higher lofts

Cobra Adept Max
-I can basically get 7 irons for slightly more than the cost of 4 Mizuno.
-Slightly longer ball flight with the same landing angle but probably less spin
-Louder and larger heads
-Slightly better at toe/heel mishits

From your bullet points, I'd say you have decided on the Cobras, maybe without realising it.

And if you like to experiment, maybe best to go for the cheaper option, in case you change your mind?

If they were the same price I'd go Mizuno....kind of leaning that way anyway. A set of the Cobra's go all the way down to a 5 iron.....I haven't hit a 5 iron in years. Although with these new huge irons I might be able to hit a 5 iron better. It's a toss up. Then of course there is the decision on shafts......

I had the Mizuno MP20 HMBs for a couple of years and loved them.
Replaced with the Pro 243s and love those even more!
Mizuno MX20s were the best irons I've ever owned though. So easy to hit and lovely to look at.
