I bought today.....

Thank god I didn't have no golf spending as a new years resolution 😅

Played today (rather well) and a member at the club was flogging his lightly used set of Mizuno MP-32 (3-PW, R300 shafts) at an extremely cheap (in my opinion) price, so bought them and they'll go over to Spain with me later this month. My mate has a place there and we play every other month or so. Has to be better than hired clubs with slick grips! To be fair, for the cost, it's two hires, so a bargain.

I am taking a bag and some others I don't use - BRNR mini driver, Ping 3 wood, Mizuno 7 wood, 2 Vokey wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter - will be a decent bag!
 
Under Armour glove for the new season. It will stay tucked away until April but it is there and ready. I used one last year, it is not worn, just dirty, so very happy with the quality. £8.95 via Hotgolf / Ebay, cracking value.

Well, the pro shop I buy most stuff from emailed me to reming me I ad credit on my account, which I'd forgotten about, so ordered a hybrid in my spec to fill a loft gap.

I will have the following options:

18 fairway
21 hybrid
23 fairway
24 hybrid

One day I love a fairway,, the next can't hit it and same with hybrids, so that gives me a choice.

Money was spent anyway and nowt else I need

Pro shop probably was like this - We need an extra £150 today to meet target for the week.

Oh I know that Burnsey guy loves a purchase. Tell him we have £40 on his card. That will take the decision away from him and he will purchase what we need.

Had £239 credit, new club was £241, so they let me off the two quid.

Cynical lot you, the statement is automated and came through at the start of the month, just been deciding what to do with it. It was that or 36 gloves, 812 tees and a new bobble hat.
 
Qi irons - ex demo set but most clubs look brand new. 5 iron to AW. More loft than current set but gets me back the yardage I have lost over the last few years 😄

I had seen these some time ago, but was resisting, when temptation knocked on the door in the form of a huge discount. The final nail in the coffin? While I was fighting the demons they knocked a further £80 off them. I lost the fight.

I find my hybrids are too close together with only 2 degrees between them. I've changed my 3 down to 18 (from 19), 4 up to 22 (from 21) and 5 up to 26 (from 24). Much better distances between them that way.

Oh it's complicated with me!

Actual set lofts with hybrids are 22 and 25 and the gapping is good - 22 has lower flight, so runs, 25 is very iron like.

My woods are 19 and 24. I 'need' the 19 for the odd long par 3 tee shot, but once I get the new hybrid, I see the two hybrids and 24 fairway will need to be whittled into only two regular spaces in the bag.

Callaway Epic Flash. After a huge amout of research, it appears this one does almost what newer ones are doing but is a big improvement on mine. I will have to swap the shaft for mine. Will it work? I hope so.
 
I've just ordered a G430 #3 hybrid on eBay from golfclubs4cash. With a 10% discount I got it for 144 quid. Obviously it's not in the best nick but if it works it works Will be good to see if it can fill the gap in distances at the top of my bag
