I got a Pixel 8 a few months ago. Very happy with it. Nice and simple, good battery life, logical layout. It always takes a few days to click the differences between a new phone and your old one but once you have sorted it, it's a good choice.

I had a pixel 5 until march last year. It was an excellent phone

I moved to a OnePlus 11 which has been ok I just starting to get a few issues that prob means I need to factory reset it so thought go back to Google and sell it as I really enjoyed the pixel , plus it's smaller which I find this phone a tiny bit big

Course closed due to high winds -

But due to reopen at 12:00

But tee times are at 11:56 and 12:04

How about open at 11;56 or 12:04 😂
Presumably if you tee off at 11:56 there is a high chance that you will be seriously injured by flying debris. Opening at 12:00 allows you to have a few practice swings without serious risk of injury before teeing off.

I'm a recent convert to the Pixel range, I'm still on a 6a having previously had a 4a. Great phones, I was an iPhone using for a decade before that.
For the money Pixels are super. Excellent camera. Plus moving from iPhone the improvement in battery life has been so welcome

No today but last week, I've been looking for a steel shafted Donaldson Bunny putter for a while, but they all seem to have very short shafts around the 31" length.

This one came up with a 35" shaft so I bought it. It's a stepped shaft which makes me think it's been re-shafted at some time but at least it's playable.

One of these, nigh on half price

I like a pencil bag, but not in the winter s they get wet on the ground. The legs on this are a bonus

This could be a thread all of its own, but I've talked about it with a lot of couples over the years, so I would be unlikely to hear anything new.

Mrs V and I are in a tiny minority, as far as we have been able to know.
Since we bought a house together in 1987, we have had a joint current account only. There is no issue for us with regards who is paying for what.
We thought about it lot in 1987 and we continue to be very glad that we took that step.
Same in this house. Since we moved in together (mid 90's) we've always just had a joint account. It's probably because we saw that as normal as both our parents were the same.

Been with my wife 15 years and we've never had a joint account. Can't see a need for one. She has a savings account for us, and when I get paid each month I just send her a bunch of money for bills etc.

Mother and father in law before he passed away both had separate accounts. None knew what the other would have. They religiously paid for things separately. It was an odd set up. MIL would ring Missis Tash and say “ your dad won’t pay for the weekly shopping” due to his dementia. It was purgatory trying to sort financial matters out when he had passed away.
Happy as a pig in much since we have shared accounts since 1985.

We have a joint account which we both transfer funds into to cover mortgage and shared bills - plus a standing order from that to a joint savings account.

Makes things very easy to be honest. Both agree our % share of things and we have our own money to save or do whatever with!

I think we just didn't bother making a joint account for long enough that we got used to not having it and just carrying on the way we are. So never felt a need for one after a while.

But you do have a joint account, it is just in your wife's name. you use it like a joint account to pay bills, etc.
We are the same as @Bdill93 , both pay into the joint account for grown up spending and then both have our own accounts to spend as we want.

Not really the same because I have no access to it to pay for things or withdraw money. But she would transfer money back to me if I need any.

We’re the same.
If I bought my clubs and stuff from the joint account she would have kittens.🐱

She still thinks a good driver is about £150.😳

When we got together 20-odd years ago, I was on a relatively large salary while my missus had a low paid job. I suggested we change my current account to a joint account, which she thought was a great idea. However when I said she should either close her current account or change it to to a joint account, she went right off the idea.

She has always bought a lot of clothes, although 80% of them go back, and didn't want me to see how much she was spending on them

Been with mine for 49 years and 10 months and have always had a joint account and can't see any reason not to 😁
