After her many lessons at Cooden, the Missus finally had her first "proper" round of golf yesterday, 18 holes at Sweetwoods Park in East Sussex with a couple of my mates girlfriends. I was invited out but couldn't make it as I was working.
She was really excited, and left home yesterday at Mid-day for a 2pm tee off time with Heather and Lindsay.
I got home from work, watched a bit of telly, had a bite to eat and then promptly fell asleep on the settee.
Sam walked in at ten to nine after spending a couple of hours in the bar afterwards...cheeky moo!
She thoroughly enjoyed her day, and scored 12 Stableford points. That would have done me on a bad day!
Heather, unfortunately, fared worse. Apparantly she only scored 2 points....:mad:
Lindsay, who has been playing quite some time scored 36.
Sam was really, really chuffed with her game and is looking forward to the next one. She told me four or five times about the lovely drive she hit off the 1st tee....
Might get out and have a knock with her tomorrow for 9 holes.
But 10 to 9 last night! That't taking the piss isn't it??????
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

She's spinning you a line - there's no Sweetwoods Park in East Sussex. You would have thought she could have got her cover story right.

Smiffy, my girlfriend had her first round last weekend after a few trips to the range. Shot 134, not sure what the stableford would have been though, but I was really impressed with how well she did for her first time. Chucked her in at the deep end as well. The seniors where playing the ladies so the course was going to be really slow, so we joined up with a couple of lads who are off 3 and +2. Did not faze her though and they really encouraged her. I think the next thing I need to do is go to the putting green for a lesson from her as she is amazing at putting.

Oh dear!

Everytime that you buy a new set of poncy headcovers for your irons ..... she'll want some too!

Cant wait till I read her blog, or see her sign up in here. ;)
Smiffy, when you play 9 holes with her, it will give you an excuse to go off the red tees. Then you might out-drive her :rofl:

Smiffy, you know its only a matter of time before she invites you for a game and turns you over. I'm sure she needs to get herself signed up on here and tell us how it really is in the Smiffy household and who wears the trousers although I've a fair idea

It only gets worse from here Smiffy. My wife has been a member of the same club as me for near on 20 years. Bet she's been thrown out at closing time way more than I ever have.
