Hurrah... I'm in !!

After having the membership interview for Dulwich & Sydenham GC earlier this week, have been out today for the "playing in" game - ie 18 holes with another prospective member in th ecompany of an established member (turns out he was a recent past president).

And it seems I'm not too crap, and they like me enough to let me in! More to the point - with a provisional handicap of 20 (to be confirmed/adjusted by 3 cards). A stiff handicap for me but the aim is to get my game down to the handicap, rather than let the handicap drift up to my game. All I have to do now is part with a considerable number of readies.

Chuffed to bits...
