Just taken delivery of my new cart bag from the Srixon 2013 range - thanks OnlineGolf, you're not all bad, and I take back some of what I said about you yesterday in the Good/Bad shops thread.

For those interested, this is the one I bought - http://onlinegolf.co.uk/Srixon/Srixon-Cart-Bag/250400,en_GB,pd.html - in gold; looks good so far, and will review later once I've road-tested it on the course.

However, would be interested to know how you folks would pack it? I've taken a photo of the dividers, and numbered each one; to which hole would you place the clubs as detailed in my sig for ease of access, and to limit damage to the clubs?

I would ignore the shapes and put driver, 3 wood and hybrid in 1,2,3. 4iron 4 and then just work my way down.

it depends on how the bag is to be transported!

shortest clubs in the pockets nearest the ground - except the putter which goes in the largest, most accessable, poscket.

7, 10 & 13 look good for woods and driver, and 14 for putter.

11 & 12 for hybrids?

I guess 1, 2 & 3 for wedges, then the rest for irons!

With 1 / 2 / 3 being closest to the strap (and presumably the side that will sit on the trolley) I would use those to have my wedges & shot irons.

Putter in 14 and woods in 7,10,13.

The rest would be my irons going from short ones to longer ones as I got closer to 14 - this set up should avoid the irons knocking hell out of your driver / wood shafts abnd minimise clanking.

Oh god - I have just realised I have a plan for packing my clubs in each bag - OCD time!!

1- Driver
2- 3 Wood
3- 5 Wood
4 - 17° Hybrid
5 - 20° Hybrid
6- 23° Hybrid
7- 7iron
8- 5 iron
9- 6 Iron
10- PW
11- 8 iron
12 - 9 iron
13- SW
14- Putter

Would be how I set it up

I'm simple and not very fussy.

Bag is loaded for carrying. Putter on top with 3xwoods (bag doesn't have a separate single top section for the putter) split randomly between two sections; then long and mid-irons - again split randomly between two middle sections; and short irons (split randomly) in bottom two sections.

Longest clubs on top, shortest clubs on the botton, working left to right

1 - Driver - 2 - 3 Wood - 3 - 5 Wood
4 - 19° Hybrid - 5 - 5 iron - 6 - 6 iron - 7 - 7 iron
8 - 8 iron - 9 - 9 Iron - 10 - 45° wedge
11 - 50° wedge - 12 - 56° wedge - 13 - 62° wedge
14 - Putter

Is how I would put my clubs in the bag

Surely with the handle clip i can see, pocket 1 is closest to the base of the cart. so me personally would arrange them like:

14 driver
13 3w
12 5w
11 20 hyb
10 23 hyb
9 5iron
8 putter (as it looks big and side access)
7 6 iorn
6 7 iron
5 8 iron
4 9 iron
3 pw
2 sw

done.

When ever I organise my bag I start with driver at the back working down to putter at the front, but after about the 7th hole they could be anywhere tbh.
