How to put a smile on your face :-)

Blue in cars for me every time!! Clubs have to travel up front and just debating how I get the limited amount of bits and bobs that were in my Alfa into even less space in the MX5!

Bit of a girlie car. How about a 5 litre V8 with 290 bhp, no traction control, ABS or power steering and weighing just over 950kg! Now that puts a smile on your face and a look of fear at the same time! :whoo:

Midnight blue is the colour I am looking at. Can't believe you are changing from an Alfa though.:D I am biased as I have had a 156 from new for the last 16 years. It has just been passed on to my 19 year old daughter.

Well I went from a 2.0i Sport MX5 to a 1.4 Mito (diesel!) which was cute, very pretty and also practical. The day I drove my MX to the garage though I nearly cried! The Alfa's build quality is pretty shocking in comparison to be fair although a proposed collaboration between the two marques could lend itself to something very special :-)

My brother in Australia has an MX5 with 180,000 on the clock and he's only just changed the clutch!

Traction control stays firmly on but all the same the first roundabout I zipped round on the way home made me smile from ear to ear!

agreed re blue but it has to be a Buckingham Blue (LR colour name, different for each manufacturer) a very deep blue, failing that I like a good shiny black, especially rewarding when polishing

Your number plate will have been cloned 6 times by now :(

Nice motor, if you are a girlie :) :)

Enjoy

I see people saying that a lot, especially on the detailing websites when they 'show' a car. You do realise that if you step out your front door there are literally thousands of number plates to be seen:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Mum had 1 a couple of years ago (o7 or 57 plate I think) and I must admit I did borrow it a few times, great fun to drive and you do feel surprising secure in there compared to the older models!

Stormy blue and very sparkly in today's sunshine :-)

The clone thing...if somoeone wanted to why would they search a golf forum for it? Just stand by a roadside or go to a car dealer and plenty enough to choose from.

Oopsie - my tube of balls doesn't sit well in the boot and not totally sure my pretty pink trolley will either :mmm:

Nice car , Took my niece out to buy one a year back , or a BMW Mini , she said it was a girl`s car , I didn't really have a reply to that , she likes the Audi TT , rode in it while she test drove loads , not a nice car at all , she still has not got a car, the MX5 is a better car I say :)

Agreed - I really don't like the TT at all. The mini just isn't a mini which always puts me off. Reviews of the soft top mini are very good but it's too "fat" for me. The MX is just sportier somehow - rear wheel drive and a lovely roar to the engine :-)

cracking little cars! enjoy amanda! looks a hoot! and the sun has come out today with you getting it?! an omen!!! Thank you!
