My other half had an MX5 and a great car it was. She finally changed it for a Lotus Elise and then from the sublime to the ridiculous, to a Toyota IQ!

Prettiest car I ever owned was this:
Cost an arm and a leg to run and maintain at a time when I didn't have two ha'pennies to rub together, so it didn't last long. It's also not too practical when you have kids... But I loved that car. Sliding it round roundabouts was great fun

I was a passenger in an mx5 once. I don't fit. I got cramp, neck ache, back ache, and I figured that if we crashed, I'd be stuck in there til the fire brigade arrived. Same for a Porsche boxter. I'm not built for tiny cars.
