Hi , i am usually pretty consistant with my driver (R9)but recently i have lost confidence with my tee shots into the wind , usually over rotating my hands to hit the odd hideous low and very short shot left (the only time i am likely to hit a shot right funnily enough is also into a head wind). I use grey castle tees ,any comments appreciated. Should i tee lower , further back in my stance , grip club lower ? thanks. (and sorry if this has been posted recently but i am new here.) :D

You need to do all the things you put in your post it sounds good to me,you could use your 3 wood as a substitute.

Peg it up...do not peg it down!
novice here but why? I'm always told to hit it low in the wind :D
Suspect it's to do with ensuring you hit the ball out of the middle.
I always used to slice heavily into the wind because I used to try and hit the ball harder. Now I tee it up as normal and just swing easier. I still get surprised how far it goes sometimes and try and remember this swing thought even when not into the wind. Usually lasts about 2 holes before it's Yeeha time again!! :o :D

It will decrease spin, you can still hit your driver into the wind reasonably high if you can keep the spin right down

Teeing the ball low will give you low launch and higher spin unless your swing is superb

Teeing low encourages you to hit down on the ball causing more backspin and more height. Tee it up and it encourages you to sweep the ball off the top.

As Seve used to say.
"When playing in the wind I take a wider stance, move the ball back in my stance an inch or so and swing easy"

Oh and,

"When it's raining I wear sunderland"

I subcribe to all the above. I wouldn't worry about teeing the ball lower unless your a good striker for all the reasons in the above posts.
Other makes of waterproofs are good too though.

Move the ball back a little (which helps you hit down on it a fraction keeping it low)

swing easy (you don't need to swing so hard seeing as you are now going with less loft, see above)

Chances are you hit them right because you panic a little and don't complete a proper turn in your backswing, thereby not giving yourself a chance to get the club on an inside path.

m8, been going through the same thing recently. had a couple of lessons which prooved two things. was not extending my arms enough on take away, and there was a severe lack of turn from the top of the backswing. once i re-introduced these two things , i got my old flight back, and even see the right hand side of the course from time to time!

I'd say that you should play your normal swing and face the fact that you won't get the same distance into the wind as you will on a still day or with the wind. It's the same with uphill fairways; players try and belt the ball and it usually heads well right.
I think the advice to hit down more on the ball is seriously flawed; that will actually send the ball higher with more back-spin...exactly what you don't want.
So, just swing easy and, as with every other golf swing, don't expect a result just aim for an easy swing.
