How to Add an Avatar??

Hi guys, I want to add an avatar that is a picture of my new irons, however when I try to add a picture I have found it says the image can be no more than 1000 bytes. Any ideas how I can make the images this size or can anyone do this for me?

If using windows, start the paint program and resize the image.
Failing that, pm me and i'll send you my email and I'll sort it tonight at some point.

Thanks Brendy, seem to have sorted it now, even if the image does look a bit pixelated.
