Yikes - you guys are making me think twice about taking this game up. Let's see, since September I've probably had £35 at the driving range and £80 on some second hand irons.

I expect next year that cost will increase somewhat - what with actually going to play a round or two. Ah well, it's only money. Can't keep it after you're gone can you?

Adding together most things I've bought that I can think of and subtracting things I've sold I reckon I've come up with about £1500 including subs but not including beers and food.
That's included new irons, driver and wedges.................

All told it's cost me about 13-14 quid a round this year.

I can take that.

In my first 7 months of golf I have spent £4050.

Clubs £1350, £800 clothes, £1000 membership, lessons £350, range cards £350, balls £200.

And it's worth every single penny!

Probably £1000+ on subs and comps £400 on away days £340 on GG waterproofs and probably another £500 on clothes and shoes. About £200 on range balls. £180 for 3 wood and £10 to upgrade my driver after selling old one. £200 on Golf Buddy and £177.50 on rangefinder. £200+ on balls and tees. And probably about £100 on sweeps and £1 front,£1 back and £1 over 18 losses LOL. £80 on trolley accessories. So well over £3500 by time you count things I've forgotten about but still much less than all my previous hobbies have cost me.
