How much does your golf cost per round?

I have no idea, as I don't keep track of how often I play. For the last 7 weeks, it has cost a fortune, as I have only played 13 holes. Prior to this, I was getting value out of it. Won't be playing more than another 2 13 holes between now and October either. Got too much to do that doesn't involve the time for golf.

Member at two clubs with total cost being around £1,600. But I play around 180 rounds per year so including comps, it's about £10 per round.

Homer, don't forget to add in the cost of all the balls you lose. That will add about £5 per round.

Under £20 a round? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I would need to move into the greenkeeper's hut to have a sniff of that number.

What course? Just out of interest.

Bearwood Lakes, near Wokingham.

To be fair, the equation is strongly influenced by the fact I just don't play very much golf - one round per 1-2 weeks during April-October and sod all in winter. In contrast to Paul (above), I play about 20 rounds a year.

Less than £6 per round. I also spend a couple of hours minimum practicing of the practice ground/green.

I'm a tight arsed Yorkshireman so I like good value :D

Most weeks i play 2-3 rounds so based on a minnimum of 2 about a £10 a round. great value for me.

I play once a week, with a few holes in the summer evenings. Must be just less than £20 per week. Fortunately winnings are currenly offsetting entry fees and lost balls, and giving me a few quid in the pro shop and on my bar card !! :D :D

Fortunately I have an abundance of unused top quality balls at present running close to 20 dozen so don't think its an issue. Doesn't take into account the loose ones I've already played and are still good to use which is probably another 50-60

About two weeks worth there then!

Chris

Once during the summer usually and twice in the winter (Ive really got to turn that round!) so works out around a tenner a round though probably less as I do get the odd midweek or second game at the weekend plus practice time.

Probably between £5 and £10 a round. Pay £550 a year and play between once and three times a week.

Subs are £382 / 70 = £5.45 per round rather than £15.00 per round it would be normally without a council season ticket.

Great value when I can play all 5 municipal courses in Leeds.

My subs this year (My 1st) were 668 euro.......
668/52 = 12.80 euro per round.....
Given that it costs non members 35 euro per round during the summer and 25 in the winter i think im getting great value.
Also i can play as much and as often as i like.....No limits

I reckon it has to be under £20 to justify it.

This is my "target" figure. I probably manage it (just) on full rounds of 18 holes, so all the "quick 9s" and 14 hole specials (like today) make it good value i.m.o.

According to our owner (the proprietor), if everyone who ever played a full 18 paid for their game, he need to charge £23 per round to break even.
