...at your home course.

Your annual subs divided by how many rounds you play there each year.

I know one guy who's been a member at a club for four years and played once. That's £2400 a round. A little steep!

The last year I was a full member at Craigielaw I think I maybe managed 12 rounds, so £45 a round. I reckon it has to be under £20 to justify it.

£64 a month and I have been playing about 3 times a week in the summer. it will be less in the winter, but it works out at very little.

£940 per year, play an average of twice per week = £9 per round. Probably good value for a private course in the South East!

Not played quite as much as normal so far so at present its £18 per round but onver the last two years I got that down to £13.67

Homer, £13.67 is a fairly accurate amount, do you have a Spreadsheet to work out such a precise figure? :D

£700 per year, so I only have to play 20 times to make it less than the price of the standard fee per round. I've no idea how many times I've played in the last year.

I joined my club in June and have played so much the golf has already covered the subs so the rest of my golf is free!

I suppose if it was as simple as Subs divided by rounds played then it will not necessarily be as cost effective as playing at pay & play courses.

However, you've got to look at the bigger picture and take into accounbt just what being a member of a club is about.

I've got access to the local Edinburgh Leisure courses, but could count on one hand the number of times I've played on them this year. I still enjoy being an active member at my club and that means more than just the number of rounds played per year. :D :D

I'm lucky. My new club has reduced rates for under 30's. So it's only going to cost me £335 a year for a full 7-day membership. :D

So I have to play 34 rounds a year for it to cost me £10 a round. So if I play once a week (which I intend to), it will cost me a paltry £6.45 a round. Bargain! Just need to sort my membership out now!

Up until last friday, it cost me nothing though...My friend was working part time at the same club and sorted me out with free rounds of golf whenever he was working. Saved myself about £200 over the last few months.

I play on avaerage 3 times a week,so it works out at under 5 pound a round over the year. Through the summer I tend to play a lot as I work nights and get out early in the morning before going home to bed, i managed 6 rounds last week.

Cheap green fees but I'm not playing much these days, working out about £10/round for me.

Remember though your also paying each time you enter a competition so technically you should be adding this to your annual subs.

All which leaves my golf so far this year costing me approxiamately £8 per round, damn good value me thinks.
