Lessons: think I've had 7 in over 45 years. Just over a year since the last one - £20.

Range:... got two tokens as part of a green fee 2 yrs ago. Can't remember before that.

Block of 6 lessons (40 minutes each) for £90 so good value.

Around 30 quid a month for the driving range while working on a change

We have had posts about club fees, bar spend etc, now for lessons/practice. Homer's latest Pingate saga got me thinking, as he is often referencing lessons with his pro. Homer and others - how much do you spend per year on

A. Pro lessons

B. Range tokens

Unsurprising for anyone who has seen my golf, I spent zilch on either, although we do have a charge factored into our subs for the driving range and short game area - £125 from memory, although you can't opt out!

I'm celebrating my 39th wedding anniversary next week and you try and get me divorced in one easy move Paul - sure I really can't remember the answer to this question :smirk:

I'm surprised Richard, I wouldn't have believed that you would have got that swing of yours without lessons !

Eamon Darcy gave lessons back in the 50's didn't he?

I did meet Darcy at a Pro Am. Really nice chap, but it was unfortunate that I caught his swing.:(

It was in the 70's. Only you can remember the 50's old timer.:ears:

Nowt on lessons and about £20 a month at the range, but only in Winter.. As soon as the ground dries up a bit it'll be the Clubs short game area that'll get a pounding...

Blimey where you having your Aimpoint? It cost me £90 which then allows me to go back any time and do the course again as a refresher should I need it.

Just guestimating i just missed the last glasgow one and read it was around that for aimpoint express and the more advanced ones after.

No more than £50 On lessons last year and about £20 on range tokens.

I don't have the appetite to hit the range at all.

After 39 years Chris you should know how to eliminate the details that partners don't need to know - do you think mine knows what I pay for membership!:smirk:

Didn't play today after thinking it would be stupid and am playing tomorrow, but popped in for a quick drink with a friend - and after a bit more rain, it looked glorious - hopefully it stays this way through Sunday for the stableford - still won't make me locate the practice ground!

I really don't want to add it up, I've got the bug so whilst it's still dark early I'm normally found at the range 3 or 4 nights a week with the odd lesson thrown in for good measure. As an aside to the original post, how much do yo all pay for a half hour lesson? My local pro is £17 but we didn't click, so I've been trecking to Manchester to pay a costly £33!
