How much do you pay for Weekly Comps?

The vast majority of the comps are £3 entry plus an optional £2 for 2s. Board comps are £5 entry plus an optional £2 for 2s.

In all above 20% of entry fee is retained to pay for any engraving, sign-writing on boards etc; all the 2s money is paid out, unless there are no 2s (very rare).

We have a formula to calculate the number of prize winners and amount they win. This is all handled in a spreadsheet to make things easier for the folks on the comps committee.

We also have a couple of qualifying comps where the top 16 go into a knockout, in this case we retain an amount of the entry fee for the winner, beaten finalist and semi finalists.

It's divided out depending on numbers - I think...

Exact amounts vary but with 3 divisions we have 3 winners and 3 2nd places.
Some of the bigger comps are a bit more cash but as they tend to be at Weekends I don't play them, therefore I don't know nuffink about them......

£3 for all of them and £6 per pair in team events. We have our medals and stablefirds divided into divisions and there are vouchers for top three per division out of the entry money. Honours board events are paid out to the top 4

Ours is £6.00 beginning to wonder where it all goes.
Some is for the top 3 and some for the 2s but not sure where the rest goes.
Think it goes toward supporting the first team but not sure.:$

Ours was £2 today which is split between entry fee ( prize fund ) and magic 2s, some comps have an additional £1 fee which goes to charity
