How many plus golfers at your club?

none

We used to have one off +2, who also won the German Amateur Championship a few times, but he changed to a different club at the start of last year.

At the moment our lowest gent plays off - 1.8 (but he is at uni now and rarely around) and lady off - 4.6

General Cat 1's yes but not + HC's. They rarely play their home course's comps, heard this from a +5 HC who plays at Glenbervie

Robertson.?? I think he plays in a league with a lot of the rest of the good golfers from central belt. They move around courses every couple weeks, other weeks they all play in the scratch opens.
Glenbervie have a fine array of very good golfers. Not as much a Nairn though, jeez, that's a pretty awesome collection of golfers at one club, you must make up a fair chunk of Scotland's plus cappers.

If they get to + at our Club they end up turning pro'.

Several years ago we had three but one is now on the European Tour, another on the Challenge Tour and the third, who was ranked number 3 on the World Amateur Golf Rankings when he joined the paid ranks, is on the Web.com Tour.

Now waiting for the next crop, one young girl just been picked for England.

Anyone we might have heard of?

Which are you talking about?

On the European Tour it is Jason Palmer although due to injury he missed much of the season after playing in the US Open and is currently having to rely on medical exemptions. Won the Alps Tour in 2013, won on the Challenge Tour 2014 and qualified for the main Tour by finishing within top 15 for the year.

Charlie Ford is on the Challenge Tour and has won on that Tour.

Greg Eason is on the Web.com and only just missed out on getting his PGA card last year.

On top of everything else they are all thoroughly decent young men.

Nice one.

Imagine being able to go for a pint with your friends and talk about playing the US Open! Must be great!

Yes I agree.

Even if he never qualifies ever again nobody can ever take the experience and memories from him.

The Club is proud to be able to display a flag from Chambers Bay signed by Jason. I know the flags can be easily bought but those of us who have known him since his days as a junior appreciate just what the flag means.

Yeah I bet that looks great in the clubhouse

Nil.

Love the comment about "getting point one back", not sure plus handicap players think of it like that :D.
"Getting point one back " makes it sound like a punishment getting cut :D
