It just dawned on me that my course has OOB on...

2nd
3rd
10th
11th (not really reachable though)
12th
14th
15th
16th
17th
18th

that's practically the entire back 9!

How many on your course?

excluding the boundary of the course, then just one. Our 6th/15th fairway runs directly behind some houses, so OOB stakes are in place to try and protect the properties

12 on our course. As it's a 9 hole with 18 tees there's a lot of holes that border the boundaries of the course, the 1st/10th, 4th/13th and 9th/18th have OOB that is still on the course grounds.

1,2,3,5,8,9,11,12,14,15,16,18 all technically have OOB, though none of them are exceptionally tight. The only ones that you regularly see people fall foul of are 1,15,16 and 18. Id be surprised if I hit it OOB more than 5 times a year and nearly every single time its at 15 (oob left of the green and prevailing wind usually off the right)

Not including course boundaries, so actual white stakes or perimeter ditches which are classed as OOB, 1st, 2nd, 13th, 16th & 17th.

We have no internal OOB.

The back of the 18th was made oob a few years ago due to the council discovering a very rare weed, which we are no longer allowed to tread on.

That's it. Plenty of places to lose balls in the trees, but if you can find it, you can play it.

I hate internal oob. It's an excuse for very poor course design.

This one makes you think,

1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th.

and I've probably been OB ion all of these holes at some time or other :)

Trying to picture the course and I can't think of any OB that isn't a boundary fence or over a hedge to the short course or Greenkeepers compound......a couple of OB's are just inside boundary fences but not by much and if you're there then you're in trouble anyway....

At my gaff the:

3rd,5th,6th,7th*,8th,9th,12th, 13th*,14th*,15th,16th*,17th and 18th

All have OOB on them

The ones with a '*' have OOB on them but it isn't really in play. it would take a honker or a worldy to bring them in.

In theory, there is OB on every hole round our place and I know that, somehow, it has been located from each tee at one time or another.

Realistically, the are 13 out of 18 in play, all of which are either boundaries or to keep you out of the range or academy course.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 17.
These are all boundaries but I've been across them all, the 1, 3 and 5 to 7 are very much in play. Woe betide the slicer on our first 7 holes.

We have an old mine shaft on our course and the area around it is OOB, it affects 2 holes, also internal OOB on 2 other holes. Other than those its just course boundarys, practise area and around clubhouse. Probably affects 8 holes all together

I can think of only two that have OOB markers 17th and 18th. 17th is woods to the right over a greenkeepers path thats so far away from the fairway i doubt you would find the ball in there anyway. 18th is the practice ground over a lot of gorse.
