Had a game for the first time in 3 weeks on Saturday, not touched a club in that time. Played pretty well, shot 74 Gross, no duff shots at all.

Last year didn’t play for well over 6 weeks and fist game back then played well. I how come during the season if I don’t practice during the week I play crap at the weekend. :D

umm, for me it can be from one shot to the next, so umm... 3 mins.

Always play well after a lay off (long game at least), tend to swing more naturally and not think about it too much, be nice if it could be like that all the time!!!!

Played today for first time in over a month and hit it well, didn't control the direction so good, hit 3 shots just left of the green. No mishits but didn't feel as grounded as i normally do when hitting the ball, maybe eating lots of food and sitting on sofa too much isn't good for your golf.......

I've found no matter how long I don't play for, my ball striking is ok again after a few shots.

Chipping and putting is what takes the time to get back for me.

played saturday, chipping and putting weren't bad - but the swing, oh dear! it either felt like I was dragging it round the corner, or I was so cramped there was no room so fat, fat, fat.

For someone like me who played something like 3-7 rounds a year at the very most for 7 years until this March I really think the long game does not suffer for a lay off. What does suffer is the feel for distance and control on, around and approaching the green. These did not improve until I was playing frequent golf.

Got out on the temps Sunday morning and hit 2 massive duck hooks for my first 2 drives. After a little tinkering didnt hit a bad one the rest of the round. Irons were very good but had lost all feel from about 20-70 yards. Just could not get the ball up to the hole. My swing was certainly a lot shorter backswing wise but felt like a nice tempo and all in all it was a nice days golf.

Its always nice to go out with no expectations and no swing thoughts cluttering your mind.

I need to keep supple so will keep my exercise up during lay offs.

Played for the first time in two weeks last saturday in a fifteen hole comp level gross with 23points front nine. Then dropped 5 shots back 6 Ha but I was happy.

I have not played in around 3 weeks, went to the range on sunday(had to collect my own balls because of the weather and machine not able to get out) it took a good 50 balls before I found any rhythm, and then it was still rusty!!
It will prob take me a few range trips and some practice on the course/short game area to get back into it, but that prob wont be to start until next year depending on weather..

Well, after hitting 90 balls at the range last night, my swing still seems to be there. Couple of pulled and duffed shots, but overall, very happy. As has been said, I'm sure I will be terrible around the green though!
