• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

How do you keep your hands warm.

Thin gloves on both hands.
Pocket hand warmers and hands in pockets if carrying.
If using trolley, I have a motocaddy fur lined trolley mitt - excellent piece of kit

I also made the mistake of buying UA winter gloves. They are rubbish, stay well away!

My local asda has 2 hand warmers for £1, and Tesco has 10 for £4 in a multipack. So I crack a single one open an hour before my round, I played in -3 yesterday with no issues!

Winter playing gloves.

I love them to bits, pretty much wore through 2 pairs of GG ones. I bought a cheap pair and instantly regretted it. Pay for the quality and you shall be rewarded. Was tempted to go UA, glad I avoided that too. I shall seek out the GG ones to replace my ones full of holes (still warm though).

I donated the cheap pair to a charity toy/clothing bag so hopefully someone will get some use out of them.

I wear a pair of normal thin all weather gloves and then just slip them inside a pair of mitts when walking between shots or waiting on the tee.

I have a fleece lined thing that goes over the handle of my trolley. I call it a muff. It's great, and unlike gloves, I don't need to faff about, putting it on and off. I have a set of Titleist mitts, but I worry the magnets will ruin my watch, and they are a pain taking on and off. The muff is easier.

I have an electric hand warmer. It's not hot enough. I know why, but it doesn't help. Something that gets to 50 on my desk, ambient 23, is only going to get to 30 when the ambient is 0. More than 50 will scald, so I can see why it's limited, but 30 in use is pretty useless.

The better question is, what's the point in going out when the world is frozen?
