Holidays 2025

We're charging them this year as their both working full or part time. Although I haven't actually had any money from them yet lol
If they are anything like mine you won’t be getting that money either.

I got conned out of t-shirt in the Hard Rock Cafe as they liked them but didn’t want to pay the 33 euro’s for one so I ended up getting them it.

We had five nights in Marrakesh three weeks ago; end May we've four nights Rome followed by four nights in the hills of Umbria; and my Mrs is talking about Madeira September time. Will also be popping to Porthcawl for three, maybe five, days at end of July - that'll just be me.

We did Rome from 27th December to 2nd Jan, covered most sites and I’d still go back tomorrow for another week! Loved it!!!!

Last year was a family road trip to Monaco in the Audi, driving the Route Napoleon. Great trip.

This year....🤷🏻. Nothing booked. Only Silverstone GP in the diary.

We are currently debating whether or not to book on to an organised guided tour for at least one day (walking or bus - dunno); or maybe one of these guided walking tour where you pay the guide through a tip at the end; or maybe buy a tourist hop-on/off bus pass for maybe the three days. Suggestions and tips welcome.

We don't go on holiday without the dogs so it's a few days in Norfolk in October. As Cooper turns out to be allergic to dust mites I've trawled places to find those with very minimal soft furnishings! Good job he's super cute

Has anyone done a European river cruise? I can’t stand the idea of a massive ship cruise, but the 20 to 30 room boats look really good and you get to dock in the nice parts of town.
Also have seen one that you can play golf at decent courses 3 or 4 times in a week long cruise.
Have considered one of these but 1) they tend to be a lot more expensive than cruise ships and 2) if there is some knobhead on board (which is highly likely) it is very hard to get away from them on such small ships.

A guy I know who is a pilot for TUI has a son 12/13 yr old. He has just played an u 14 tournament at la manga and won it. 😳👍
Yeah, they host a few youth tournaments there. When we go out in June it will be the Spanish youth championship (run by the Spanish PGA) swiftly followed by the Mercedes invitational.

Last year we sat on the pool balcony watching the youth players hitting to the 9th green and teeing off on the 10th. Some of them could play some decent stuff.

Off to that there London in August for a few days. HID has never been and I've not been for years. Going with eldest daughter and her husband.

We went last February (6 nations) it was fantastic, we wandered around for 4 days doing all the touristy stuff, travelling on the subway for the slightly further out places. Weather was perfect. I took hundreds of photos, but this is my favourite…IMG_3418.png

Bottom corner reads “You are Rome on a sunny day… Just Stunning” 😍

Just come back from a 5 day ski trip to the French Alps.

Booked on a little North Wales weekend with an old mate and a bunch of guys I don't really know in May, playing 50Nefyn, Porthmadog and Abersoch

Planning on doing Valderrama for the LIV event in July all being well.

oddly enough, the kid who won his dad has just posted pictures and videos of him playing and receiving the plate he won. Flippin eck, if I swung like that I would be paralysed. The flexibility on these kids is immense 😳

A week in Estepona in June and then a fortnight in Croatia towards the end of the summer.

Throw a few golf trips into the mix and it’s going to be a busy year.

Off to The Azores for a week in April, walking around volcano craters & whale watching , coming back via Lisbon for a couple of days.

In June we have a week at a coarse fishing venue just north of Hereford.
I can fish, she can fish if she wants and she can take all her sewing & quilting stuff, go for some walks if we want and chill out.

We normally do a city break in the autumn, so looking at options for that.
😎😎

Happy to give you a call for a proper convo, best advice will be watch your pockets on the metro. Two different attempts by pick pockets and they couldn’t have been 16.

Sounds good.. Currently planning to book estepona in September. Never been to any of Costa del sol resorts but estepona old town looks really nice... Prob just book flights n accom seperate as not a lot of hotels that have apartments as opposed to usual studios.. Some great deals on booking.com etc... Good base for trip to Gibraltar and Ronda also. I

I fancy that but a Quick Look at the prices put me right off.

We can't go abroad just now because our dogs a basket case. Hoping to book a dog friendly cottage somewhere. (Close to a golf course.)
Northumberland is the business for that. Check out Warkworth if you want somewhere nice and quiet.

pm me if you want a link to a cracking place to stay.

Edit… typo corrected
