evening all

Tomorrow (July 3) Hillside hosts one of the four Local Final Qualifying events for this year's Open at Lytham

A rare honor for the club but really just a warm up for the GM mega meet there on Monday September 3rd!

We still have some spaces so if you fancy teeing it up at one of the top tracks in the UK for just £85 (includes coffee and bacon bap on arrival, meal afterwards and some top notch prizes) then get in touch

Full details are here - just note Michael Weston isn't working at GM anymore so please email me with any queries etc

To see how awesome Hillside is watch this LFQ preview video we shot at there recently

I'm still thinking about this, but the robbing gits at Flybe want £80 return for my clubs which is more expensive than a return ticket for me. If I could get my clubs up there and back for £20 - £30 it could be a goer.....Oh and a lift to and from the airport.

I only live 10 minutes away from Liverpool airport, so if off work may be able to help. It all depends on what tee time I'm allotted, I'm hoping for a late one so only have to book 1/2 day off, but may be able to help.

That's a kind offer, but Flybe doesn't fly into Liverpool airport.

I'd be flying into Manchester, landing at 08:05 and getting through the airport by about 08:30.....so if anyones passing Manchester airport at 08:30 and could do with a bit of petrol money...

If you have a hard carry case, then why not get a carrier like UPS to deliver them on a next-day service the day before?

Or telephone some local couriers that may have some direct contracts that go that way or beyond and they can add it to their journey or may be a return drop-off which they love as its money for nothing.

I have thought about that. I use TNT here at work and could ship for £12 next day but as the meets on Monday, I would have to ship Thursday for my clubs to be there on Friday as going for a timed delivery the price rockets and there's no guarantee they will be there when I arrive. This will mean I won't have my clubs for our Saturday comp.

TNT have a direct same-day courier service and add items to that service, even overnight when they have regular contracts and journeys just to dilute their costs so good deals are available.

I would think that they (TNT) have good contracts with Manchester Airport and may have a direct link via Bristol Airport to Manchester?

Not a lot to do with couriers but I may be interested in this, when would you need to know by and what sort of deposit you after or is it pay in full?

I will be driving across the M62 and can easily divert into Manchester airport if that helps?
