Hi all

Irons... Mizuno mx23's, Md forged superstrongs, Bridgestone professional weapons, Top flite tours, Dynacraft pc3 and Vega VC-03's
Drivers... Imix Ftiq, Imix Fti, john letters, Geek dct and a Ben sayers cheapy
Putters... Pinfire Eagle, Gel sapphire and a homemade 2 ball, oh and a old 'pool' putter!

I think after you put that up for sale you'll have the following left... 6 sets of irons, 5 drivers and 3 putters!!

:D :D

But welcome all the same!

Each to their own opinion, like i said, it might help someone get into golf cheap, well not the £1000 vegas or the players irons! The irons, drivers and putters i have, i have had from new and have demoed all the latest gear, bought some of it and got rid after a few weeks, imo the manafacturers make a killing and love golf junkies who have to have the latest kit despite it not being any better than some equipment 5/7 years old. For my handicap and game, the mx-23's are the most forgiving iron i have hit and i have had and demoed all the latest offerings, hit hundreds of different irons and nothing comes close, also had mx-200's and jpx's, the md forged is the best feeling iron out of any forged iron i have ever hit but not quite forgiving as the mx23. The top flite tours are a gem aswell, just the right size, low offset and thin topline. The Ftiq has got to be the most forgiving and playable driver ever made period and i have never had a better putter than the gel or pinfire, but because they are not £200 or got oddysey or scotty name on them some people question their performance. Each to their own but i use what gives me the lowest scores and not what is the latest design or looks nice and shiny/gimmicky.

Dont worry about the miserable cycnical G*ts on here - with your undoubted technical product knwoledge you will be a highly respected and sought after foummer on here - keep posting, and tell us more about those beauties of clubs you have ther e- they sound realy interesting - for example, what shafts do you play in each of the sets of irons ? :)

PS. There's a rule that new forummers must spend more than £100 in the For Sale section before they can sell anything - surpised no-ones mentioned that yet . i've got som enice Mizzy and Hogan blades that i could pass on to help you out for a very good price

Thanks for the reply, I have been active on a few other forums for 13 years so have seen it all! Not interested in selling at the moment, i will probably give any unwanted equipment away. The clubs i use help me get the lowest scores possible, i do not care what name or price it has. You can google and read the clubs mentioned as some are classics.

Ahhh giving away is a different matter... pull up a chair

Do all your posts finish with a thorough product description, may be instead of having what's in your bag as a signature have the list of clubs but include the sales pitch too?? :D :D

Where do you play, what you play off?

They have a description as someone asked about them, d'ont need a sales pitch as a good friend of mine has a golf shop selling secondhand irons so if i needed the room i will dump them on him. Not really interested in a sig, they annoy me. I am a member at Avisford park and have a 9 handicap. Only started playing properly in January 2010, played for 20 years previous to that but only a game every 3 months or so and struggled to hit under a hundred. Joined the club last January, put three cards in and recieved a 23 handicap and got that down to 11 in the first year, have managed to get down to 8.6 so far this year. I like to tinker, studied a lot of clubmaking material and seek the best setup for me and are getting close, Every club i use has been pulled apart by myself, reshafted, spine aligned, swingweighted and rebuilt exactly how i want it.

Wow, great handicap for length of time playing - some may say beginners luck - I wouldn't of course

enjoy the forum, I'm off to bed!

Some may say that but the more i practice the luckier i get.

Welcome to the forum.

Interesting collection of clubs for someone who hasn't played much till recently.

How did you find the Gel putter? Heard a bit about them but never had one in my hands, always been interested in how they perform.
What is an old 'pool' putter by the way?

And a "homemade 2-ball" I'm intrigued! ;)

The Gel sapphire is new and not used on the course yet only on the practice green. It feels very nice and I believe they are designed and fronted by the ex head of Yes. It is well made and heavy but the main reason i got it is that the Pinfire eagle takes up so much room in the bag. The pool putter can be found here...

The 2 ball is an old £10 masters 2 ball that was very stable in the backswing but had a nylon insert and a shaft i did not like. I dismantled it, ground the insert out and made a aluminium insert, added lead poured into 2 cavitys either side of head, filled and finished it before painting and putting another shaft in it, it is my go to putter when all is going wrong and feels very good to me. Not quite homemade but totally reworked. At the beginning of the year i had this £10 putter, a £8 reshafted letters square driver and a set of Md golf forged superstrongs bought for £40 on ebay and shot the best 2 rounds ever in a week, both 4 over 74's gross.

Wow your some boy!! You obviously spend hours out in the shed? :D
Fascinating posts though.

Havent been here for a while and not much changed haha! Handicap down to 6 and struggling to play to it due to lack of time/enthusiasm/weather !
Equipment wise I am using a Imix Ftiz, switching between Bridgestone j38 irons and srixon ztx's. putter is a rife 400 mid mallet.
As for the sales pitch mentioned, all the other equipment is up in the loft and staying there!
